WHRC is looking to appoint an experienced research midwife / nurse or experienced research practitioner to work on the Generation Study which is sponsored by Genomics England. The study focuses on screening neonates for approximately 200 rare conditions at birth using umbilical cord blood.

The postholder will assist with the effective running of the study, consenting participants and organising sample collection, whilst adhering to the principles of GCP. There may also be the opportunity to work on a variety of other projects.

The postholder of this new role will work within the WHRC research team and have the opportunity to develop specialist research skills in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have research experience, have an interest in the improvement of women’s health, attention to detail and a willingness to work collaboratively.

The post holder will be based primarily at Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea Hospital but will also be expected to work at St Mary’s Hospital. This is a 12-month fixed term role to cover maternity leave, there may be the opportunity for extension.

• The post holder will support the aims of the Trust and the NIHR clinical research network to improve the speed, quality, and integration of clinical research, through the successful delivery of clinical research in the NHS.
• The post holder will be a recognised expert in one or more specialties with an understanding of the research environment. They will take responsibility for the co-ordination and management of clinical research projects, collaborating with key personnel throughout the trust and network to ensure continued care and support for patients involved in clinical trials.
• The focus of the role will be in supporting the delivery and development of the research portfolio through identification of suitable participants, co-ordination, recruitment, performance and maintenance of study documentation. What skills and experience we're looking for

There is a vacancy for a committed and dynamic Teacher in Charge of Science to teach the Science Curriculum at Francis Barber PRU in Wandsworth. You will be co-ordinating the GCSE Biology and KS3 Science delivery across both sites of the PRU to students. In addition you will also hold the role of keyworker to a small group of students and will be responsible for monitoring their progress and well-being.

It provides a dedicated, well-equipped and professional environment that enables medical staff and scientists to worktogether to investigate disease and trial the latest scientific ideas for improving diagnosis and treatment.

The CRF provides comfortable clinical accommodation for volunteers and patients participating in studies requiring 24h in-house monitoring as well as facilities for day case visits. It is equipped to cater for complex studies from across the range of medical disciplines and provides close proximity space for clinical research fellows, nurses and allied healthcare professionalsOur portfolio of early phase oncology and haematology studies is increasing and we are therefore looking for a motivated, skillful and knowledgeable SACT trained nurse, who works well as part of a team. Knowledge of clinical research is favourable but not essential.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.00-16.00 or 12.00-20.00 or night 19.45-08.15. We are closed over the weekend.

Step Teachers are working with a school that are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Social Science Teacher to join their innovative team. If you are passionate about sociology, psychology, and citizenship, and have the drive to inspire young minds, this could be the perfect role for you. Social Sciences Teacher Role:

• Good familiarity of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum for Psychology, Sociology , Citizenship & Health and Social Care.
• Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources.
• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school.
• Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
• Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.
• Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.

Social Sciences Teacher Requirements:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in Secondary School.
• Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a Social Sciences Teacher in Secondary School .
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
• A relevant Social Sciences related degree is desirable.
• SEND experience is desirable.

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who has worked with primary aged children in a school environment. You will support pupils in their learning under the direction of the class teacher. You will be flexible and willing to work within the foundation and primary age range however the vacancy will be initially based in KS2. We are seeking someone who will work well as part of our wonderful team, is able to use their own initiative and who has good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills. As part of your role you will asked to support all pupils including those with SEND.
