We are looking for an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Nurse to join our research team.
The post holder should be highly motivated and an effective communicator with a can do attitude and an eye for detail who will take ownership and delivery of their work with a desire to develop their research skills, if this is you then we would like to hear from you.
The role is based at Salford but travel across the NCA sites maybe required to support the delivery of research trials.
• Support the team lead in the management and facilitation of the development of staff creating an effective research team.
• Develop an expertise in research skills, research delivery and methodology which is shared with clinical colleagues.
•Demonstrates expert communication skills throughout the research process to assess eligibility and provide on-going advice and information to participants with regard to their participation in research in order to facilitate effective informed consent
• Liaise with Principal Investigators and Sponsor companies ensuring effective and efficient use of research resources and ensure data is collected in accordance with GCP guidelines.
• Ensure familiarity with risk issues pertaining to confidentiality of participant and research related documentation.
• Ensure clear accurate records to support and record all research activity including design and/or use of databases as required.
• Contribute to clinical and research governance processes including adverse event/incident reporting collaborating with any investigations and management of these.
• Oversee maintenance of investigator site files and essential documentation in accordance with ICH-GCP and Trust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure they are kept inspection ready at all times.
• Responsible for organising participant visits, completion of case report forms and maintenance of study documentation according to Good Clinical Practice (ICH -GCP).

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC Pin within the next 2-3 months.Please note an NMC PRN Pin is not a full NMC Pin and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.
The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
