An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us in the Cardio-Respiratory department as a Band 4 Healthcare Science Associate Practitioner, specialising in Respiratory and Sleep diagnostics.
The role will be primarily based between the two local community diagnostic centres at Walton and Whitworth however successful candidates will be expected to also work within the main department at Chesterfield Royal Hospital when required.
This role includes performing pulmonary function tests (spirometry with airway reversibility study and gas transfer), setting up and downloading overnight sleep diagnostic equipment and dealing with patient queries regarding their CPAP usage/replacement of CPAP consumables.
Chesterfield Royal Hospital is located in Calow, Chesterfield, which is situated on a green field site on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It is home to the Crooked Spire and is also close to Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham, thus offering numerous choices for recreational activities and lifestyles.
Chesterfield Royal Hospital was officially opened by the queen in 1985 and since then it has continued to expand and modernise, currently holding approximately 500 beds. We provide acute in-patient and out-patient care for Chesterfield and the surrounding rural area of North Derbyshire, serving a population of approximately 400,000 people.
