The Security Officer is responsible for the security, safety and welfare of occupiers, visitors and assets for one of our beautiful corporate destinations in the City of London, closest stations are Moorgate, Bank, Liverpool Street, St Pauls and Cannon Street,
The Security Officer will protect these by maintaining a vigilant, pro-active security presence to minimise security risks to people and property. The Security Officer will need to be able to spend reasonable periods of the time during a 12-hour shift both on patrol and standing on post.

Hours: Average 42 hours per week
Shifts: 2 on 2 off; 3 on 2 off; 2 on 3 off – Days Only

Job Requirements:

SIA Licence Required
Corporate Security experience ideal

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure full understanding of the emergency procedures
Ensure a full understanding of the assignment instructions
Ensure their post is correctly manned at the specific times. This includes being on post at latest, the start time of your shift
Ensure SIA licence is always on your person and on display
Report any issues or incidents to the Controller, Duty Security Manager or Security Manager
Respond to all incidents in line with policies and procedures
To carry out the various site patrols as per the patrol schedule
To carry out any additional patrols as instructed by management
Report any discrepancies/incidents whilst on patrol to the security control room
Carry out FOH duties and cover the FOH Officer for any absence
Control access and egress at Front of House or Back of House
Manage a polite and effective meet and greet service to all staff and visitors, whilst strictly observing access control procedures
Ensure those who should not be granted access to the building are professionally and politely prevented from gaining access or escorted from the building
Carry out ID checks in line with instructions issued
Provide tenants and visitors to the building with helpful advice, guidance and information. And if not able to do so, direct to the correct personnel who can assist
Respond as per the policies and procedures in all emergency incidents and evacuations
Respond to these in a calm and professional manner. Actively provide information to any emergency services when required to do so
Deal with conflict in an appropriate and confident manner, if required
Cover for the Security Controller for any absence and partake in relevant CCTV Controller training as part of your Security Officer role
Be vigilant to the Health & Safety risks at the building
Ensure you are immaculately presented, in accordance with company regulations and client expectations
Remain professional at all times
Report security or safety issues to the security control room or management
Carry out a thorough handover when changing duties or at the start or end of each shift
Undertake all training courses/modules as requested

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving growth and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development, with a proven track record of building relationships and identifying new opportunities. You will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships, enhancing customer engagement, and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for coordinating activities related to sales and customer service on clients' accounts
• Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities
• Creating a Sales pipeline while working on pre-identified accounts as well as through your own initiative (Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients and Emails)
• Setting up meetings via cold calls and Emails
• Acknowledge incoming telephone calls, emails, letters, and messages, and pass it to the account manager to provide a detailed response
• Building business relationships with current and potential clients
• Doing extensive Market Research on all potential clients
• Developing customized targeted sales strategies
• Coordinating business generation activities
• Answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions
• Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients
• Maintaining short- and long-term business development plans
• Maintaining database (Excel, etc.) of prospective client information
• Researching potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources
• Meeting or exceeding annual sales goals.
• Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting
Required Skills -
• Min 2+ years experience as BD / Sales in Staffing / Recruitment / Product Sales domain.
• Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people all day
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers
• Persuasive and goal-oriented
• Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanour
• Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories
• Self-motivated and self-directed
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• In-depth understanding of company services and its position in the industry
• Able to work accurately under stress and pressure to meet competing deadlines
• Excellent analytical and time-management skills
• Tenacity to handle rejection and continue with a positive attitude when reaching next potential client
• Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

Introduction

The Finance, Portfolio and Performance (FPP) team is critical to supporting a thriving Parliamentary democracy. We play a leading role in delivering the House of Commons' Strategy and corporate priorities through business and financial planning, analysing performance, and supporting the delivery of projects and programmes across Parliament. Equally important are the financial services, systems, accounting, reporting and Members' services that we provide to keep the House of Commons Service working effectively and efficiently on a day-to-day basis.

The Role

The Business Management Team (BMT) is a sub team within FPP and provides executive level support to Directors in FPP and PACT, including secretariat for both senior leadership teams and a comprehensive business support function.

This role will support the Business Management Director (BMD) to deliver strategy and planning support within both teams across FPP and PACT. It is responsible for the development of business plans as well as ensuring agreed plans are monitored and reported appropriately.

Some of the responsibilities for this role include:

• Manage the business management cycle, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of the annual timetable and agreeing deliverables with responsible owners.
• Support the planning process to capture and report strategic objectives for inclusion to the Corporate Business Plan.
• Responsible for maintaining the principle and corporate risk registers for FPP and PACT, and capture the key controls implemented by risk owners to ensure business objectives are met.
• Support the annual assurance process and coordinate the self-assessment returns for submission to the Governance Office.
• Contribute to and/or lead on specific pieces of wider work and projects as directed by the Business Management Director.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

• Planning and Organisation | Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and deliver to agreed targets, within a small team. Experience of managing administrative processes, requiring consistency and a strong attention to detail. Effective organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload, determining priorities and dealing with conflicting demands and changing priorities, whilst keeping colleagues and stakeholders informed of progress.

• Communication Skill | Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate senior level discussions and develop internal communications material. Ability to create, present and explain, complex issues so that they are easy to understand and ensuring business issues are understood by stakeholders.

• Working with People | Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive working relationships and confidence to work with people at all levels across the organisation. Ability to contribute as part of a team with excellent stakeholder engagement skills. Works in an inclusive way, taking into account equality and diversity.

• Business Management | Proven experience of delivering effective communication or business plans with a basic understanding of the underlying principles of good information management and the management of business risks.
