Training is a big part of our industry, we will put you forward for the British Pest Control Association (BPCA) exam at the earliest opportunity.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week and a call rota is in place.

Must be able to work on own initiative. No experience required as training will be given. Duties include; carrying out one-off and routine visits, investigating and identifying pests, choosing the most suitable way of controlling them and using traps, poison (including fumigation). Finding out how the pests are getting in and proofing an area to stop them returning or advising clients on how to prevent further infestation. Ideally, the technician would live in the North London area the Technician will be based from home with a vehicle. Therefore full driving license required.

Your Tasks:

Salary: In accordance with California law, the expected salary for this position is between $70,000

The Senior Quality Engineer ensures day to day compliance with applicable quality and regulatory standards. DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES including but not limited to:

• ASQ CMQ/OE, CQE or CQA certification highly desirable

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Onsite Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Novato, CA

Shifts: Hybrid Onsite: Tuesday/Wednesday (10am to 2pm) Monday, Thursday and Friday: Remote.

Hourly Rate: $70K - $85K

What we’re looking for 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in science, chemistry or engineering strongly preferred

• Experience: Three to Five years’ experience the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry

• Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred 

• Knowledge in GMP, GLP, GDP and ISO regulations

• Experience creating, maintaining and auditing quality program

• Certified in Quality Program, preferable

• Microsoft office (Excel) skills, intermediate level

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

• Responsible for supplier change notification management.

• Manage the process of assessing and responding to SCNs

• Responsible for the continual improvement of the Quality Management System.

• Works closely with managers and supervisors to plan, schedule and implement QA related activities.

• Prepares routine and special reports to staff, and regulatory agencies as required.

• Implement correction action in processes as required.

• Reviews and approves report of analytical results/Certificate of Analysis for compliance evaluation.

• Serve as document owner responsible for document creation (Internal SOP, Work Instructions, etc.), maintenance, and compliance for processes where QA Specialist is knowledgeable.

• Identifies and generates corrective action plans, provide follow-ups and communicate results to management.

• In charge of the internal and external audits. Answers customer and suppliers audits completely and timely.

• Provide support to customer regarding audits.

• Ascertain whether procedures, documents or other information describing or supporting the quality systems are known, available and dues by associates.

• Evaluates quality events, investigations, discrepancies, noncompliance issues (SCAR’S), corrective and preventive actions reports and possible complaints.

• Identify correction actions in procedures and processes.

• Participate in quality and planning meetings and applicable Corrective Action Team activities.
