About the vacancy: UWE Bristol is undertaking a major curriculum project as part of an ambitious programme of transformational activities to enhance the student experience. These 2-year fixed term posts offer an exciting opportunity to join our Academic Quality and Partnerships Enhancement team to facilitate and support this work.
The Academic Quality and Partnerships Enhancement team provides university-wide support for the ongoing development and review of UWE Bristol’s educational portfolio across three interconnected areas of activity:
Curriculum: supporting the design, development, approval and continuous improvement of the University’s academic programmes, including coordinating support for cross-university curriculum enhancement projects and initiatives and related evaluation activities
Standards and Accreditation: supporting oversight of regulatory compliance in relation to quality and standards and engagement with professional, statutory and regulatory bodies
Collaborative Provision: supporting the development, oversight and enhancement of the University’s UK and international academic partnerships and associated collaborative provision, including apprenticeships.
We are a very friendly, lively, informed and dedicated team. New members are welcomed and made to feel at home from the outset.
About you: We are looking for people with broad-based administrative and data management experience, and experience of working in line with complex regulatory frameworks such as those in higher education. You will have good organisational, interpersonal, communication and IT skills. You will have experience of working with database systems, and of taking formal and informal minutes of meetings.
As a Quality Officer you will be able to balance effectively a range of responsibilities in a flexible, autonomous and proactive manner, using your initiative and working with a variety of stakeholders across the University and our academic partners. A team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, you will thrive in a demanding yet rewarding environment and will make an enthusiastic contribution to the Academic Quality and Partnerships Enhancement team and to UWE’s Student and Academic Services more widely, in particular working in close collaboration with the Curriculum Infrastructure and Data team.
