As a highly skilled Edit Assistant with experience of working in a busy post-production MCR, you will play a key role within the team by

The Daily

• Ensure all offline and online edits are correctly setup and ready before use.
• Guarantee safe backup of camera card material.
• Label and manage file and tape-based material and any relevant metadata.
• Digitise/ingest file and tape-based footage.
• Conform and picture-check final cuts prior to online.
• Exporting and uploading sequences or clips at various specs for client viewing and transcriptions.
• Wrapping-up of finished projects for Grade/Online and Pro Tools mix sessions.
• Assist in managing rushes onto third-party viewing platform software EditShare Flow and Blackbird.
• Exporting of AAF files.
• Assist with general upgrades and maintenance of equipment.
• Keep up to date with the latest technologies and software.

The Essentials

• Previous experience and good knowledge of Avid Media Composer/Symphony and Nexis and Nearline shared storage.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal & written, able to effectively liaise with production personnel.
• Knowledge of file-based workflows and formats.
• Understanding of Avid offline editing, specifically with bin management, metadata, multi-cam and project organisation.
• Be able to troubleshoot and provide support for technical issues.
• An understanding of the post-production pipeline and final processes including online, grading & audio, AQC (Vidcheck) & QC.
• Knowledge of data wrangling and backing up rushes to external drives.
• Familiarity with cloud and FTP portals including Box and Aspera.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure to tight deadlines, prioritise workloads and take ownership whilst on a shift pattern.
• Ability to manage and guide clients who need to hit delivery deadlines in a pressurised environment.

The Nice to Haves

WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?
Personal Care Assistants wanted for an award-wining writer-filmmaker in her early 30's who requires COMPLEX CARE care because she has a Neuro-muscular condition and is a full-time wheelchair user, who needs support with London life, work and personal care. This is not a live-in position.

TASKS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

PERSONAL CARE:
- Washing and dressing
- Administering medication
- Hoisting and manual handling
- Support with daily physio

DOMESTIC TASKS:
- Cooking / Cleaning / Laundry / Shopping
- Collecting prescriptions, packages, posting mail etc.

TRAVEL:
- Accompanying to health appointments
- Work meetings e.g. rehearsals, screenings, filming, theatre, cinema, galleries etc.
- Swimming, shopping, trips out of London and travelling abroad

WORKING STRUCTURE AND RATE:
Monday to Sunday. Will work up to 25+ hours flexible per week (more hours available if desired) with shifts ranging from day and overnight shifts.

£16 per hour and £16.50 per hour overnight (8 hours = £132 per night) on a PAYE contract. Which means you’ll be entitled to 5.6 weeks annual leave and sick leave.

As an Assistant Bid Writer you will assist the work winning efforts across the business, liaising with staff in all departments to collate information to use in pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQ), responses to invitations to tender (ITT).

What you will be doing

- Working alongside the technical writers, the Assistant Bid Writer will liaise with staff in all departments to collate information to use in pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQ), responses to invitations to tender (ITT) and business proposals
- Research and write information for use in PQQs and ITTs, including case studies, CVs, and evidence to assist all responses
- Working with the bid writers and assist functions across the business, assist in the development and maintenance of a library of frequently used / boilerplate answers and materials for purposed bid.
- Manage Achilles and NERS enquires.
- Support in the management of Murphy Utility Connections enquires.
- Support the BDM and Estimators in the Murphy Utility Conections Winning Team.
- Communicate with new and existing clients to provide regular updates.
- Manage the Tender Listand the project folders.
- Issue and manage requests for quotation from Civil and specialist contractors.
- Attend client meetings both on Teams and in person as required.
- Attend Murphy offices as and when required, must be happy to travel when needed.



Who we are looking for

- Must have experience in Bid Writing within the Utility, Energy / Construction sectors.
- Have strong inter-personal and relationship building skills
- Ability to write about complicated and technical issues in plain English
- Knowledge and experience of operating IT systems, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access and / or electronic document management systems
