We are currently recruiting for an Administration Assistant Compliance and Facilities Management position. The overall purpose of this role is to assist in ensuring the effective operation and delivery of the administration function within the Compliance & FM Team. You will also provide broad administrative assistance to support the activities and services within the Compliance & FM Team carried out to the highest standards of integrity, accuracy and professionalism in accordance with the requirements of the Directorate, Valleys to Coast and its relevant policies and procedures.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate confidence in document management & creation, cloud storage, spreadsheet creation and manipulation, presentation software and effective email systems management.

You will be required to work with external stakeholders in the resolution of customer repair, service or other issues and liaising confidently with other colleagues within and outside the Directorate.

Electrical Technician

Due to continued growth and customer demand, an opportunity is now available for an additional Electrical Technician to assist with the build and assembly of special purpose, capital equipment

You will be part of a small but skilled team with a focus product quality.

The Company has an experienced team of Field Service & Installation Engineers, covering the UK and Europe.

Duties will include:

• The wiring of systems, working from electrical drawings.
• The mechanical assembly of components and final systems assembly.
• The build of associated pumps and control systems.

Skills & Experience:

• Electrical wiring and soldering skills
• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings
• Ability to use power tools for assembly tasks
• Experience in the use of hand tools
• Good practical assembly and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

Bridgend County Borough Council works in collaboration with South Wales Police to maintain its Fleet of up to 350 vehicles across the County of Bridgend. Do you have the passion to be part of our dynamic team and support our Colleagues serving our communities?

We are looking for a qualified Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 to join our collaborative team based in our busy workshop located in the Bridgend area.

You will need a good understanding of a workshop environment and familiarity of workshop tools and equipment all of which will be personally supplied on starting along with PPE Equipment. You will also have state of the art Diagnostic equipment to repair all aspects of vehicles and Council Equipment too. Continual training will be offered to the successful candidate(s) to support our Zero Carbon vision for 2027

Bridgend County Borough Council benefits from 25 days annual leave which increases to 30 after 5 years service, plus 4 day “family friendly” working week allowing a long weekend every 5 weeks, also bank holidays and being a member of the Local Government Pension Scheme. We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to provide support to the Traffic Management Officer and team within the County Borough.
Be able to assist with investigations relating to highway schemes and on site monitoring of road safety schemes
Respond to road safety and traffic management related enquiries from the public and other bodies.
Assist with the preparation of plans and traffic orders to implement identified traffic management schemes across the Authority.
