The role
As a Supply Chain Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary You'll play a pivotal part in meeting the strategic aims of the Supply Chain workstream, ensuring that project delivery is tracked against schedule, budget and agreed deliverables.
Day to day, you'll proactively support the business to prepare for, deliver and adopt a wide variety of change activity and initiatives, with a focus on the Supply Chain changes required to underpin the successful delivery of the contract.
- Construct plans for executing multiple Supply Chain change projects.
- Ensure plans meet the requirements of the business and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate and manage workshops and data gathering exercises.
- Ensure compliance, policy, and legal input is factored into all stages of projects.
- Work with the Babcock Supply Chain team to create schedules, set milestones, communicate project status, and identify & address potential challenges before they occur.
- Manage communication within and between teams, and represent plans at governance forums and to senior management
This role is a full time fixed term contact for 26- weeks and will be based at Donnington on site with hybrid working from home arrangements. There is a requirement to travel to Andover and Bristol as part of the role.
Essential experience of the Supply Chain Project Manager:
- Project management competence with proven experience of successful project management and delivery
- Knowledge and experience of Procurement and Supply Chain practices
- A general understanding and awareness of financial, commercial, and legal
- Knowledge of the defence sector is a bonus
- Delivery experience and can guide teams in achieving their outcomes
Qualifications for the Supply Chain Project Manager:
