We are currently seeking a Senior Project Control Engineer to assist the Project Controls Manager in delivering a high-quality service across Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM).
Your Role
As a Senior Project Control Engineer, working alongside our existing team of commercial, risk and project management professionals you will develop project schedules from first principles, establish robust monitoring and methods of analysis with periodic reporting up to senior levels and make recommendations to the project and programme teams.
You will lead a small team of Project Control Engineers whilst managing your own portfolio of projects and contribute to the continued development of the department.

Who are we?
We are seeking individuals to join our Projects Group Function, where you will be part of a dynamic team controlling the development, delivery and programme management of a range of exciting projects across the whole of Greater Manchester, including over £1 billion of investment in Rail, Bus, Active Travel, Metrolink and Highways infrastructure.
At TfGM Project Controls is based upon the Association for Project Management framework to support project delivery by providing solutions to four fundamental questions:

How can we correct any problems?
What you’ll bring
You will have significant experience of working in a Project Controls environment with prior experience of complex highways, large civils infrastructure or specifically rail projects being of advantage.
You will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of planning techniques, cost and change control, baseline management principles and be proficient in the use of Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project, Excel and SAP.
You should also be able to analyse contract programmes and understand the principles of NEC contract management in relation to programme. Good communication skills, self-motivation and a proactive approach to working are essential. You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent levels of experience.

What we can offer you
This is a permanent position with a salary of £67,015 - £74,092 per annum. This is comprised of a base salary £56,361 - £63,438, plus market supplement of £10,654 per annum. The market supplement is paid monthly and reviewed annually. Salary on appointment will be dependent upon your skills and experience.
