About you and this role

You are a Civil Engineer with experience in structural design and analysis that will be a technical resource and a project civil discipline resource. You focus on safety in your designs and enjoy working on a team. 

You have a strong technical knowledge base and require minimal supervision, demonstrating competencies in initiative, teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal effectiveness. You provide specialized technical support and solutions for Project Engineering, Operations and Maintenance teams.

The Security Lead Analyst will be responsible for designing and maintaining security metrics and reporting frameworks that align with industry standards, with the goal of providing insight on Equifax’s security posture.  The Security Lead Analyst will work with security leads from all security and technology domains within the organization to gather telemetry, and identify security metrics and KPIs.  He/ she will work closely with the Security GRC team to inform stakeholders of security risks and KPIs.  The Security Lead Analyst will also help oversee the development of a custom UI that presents real-time risk posture for all Equifax systems, applications and business units globally.  The right candidate will have a good understanding of technical security controls and frameworks.

What you will do 

• Define a threat reporting framework that gives Business a clear understanding of their risk posture and the linkage between the effectiveness of security controls and threats.

• Responsible for managing and delivering a product with 10+ direct reports. 

• Identify the right data sources and their characteristics to inform the required security metrics.  

• Work with security and technology leaders to identify security and policy-based metrics that align with security controls and risk posture.  

• Develop policies and procedures to structure the metrics and reporting framework.  Maintain a mapping of security metrics to threats, risks and governance requirements.

• Design creative UI to report the posture data and convey complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.

We are seeking a Manager, Intellectual Property Operations who will manage the IP Ops function at BD. • Define integration patterns that enable multiple tools to work together in the Equifax ecosystem to meet technology and security requirements.

• Define the processes that enable delivery of security services.  Facilitate engagement and improvement of the security posture of the corporation.

Our vision for the Director, Public Relations at BD

The Director, Public Relations is a key member of the public relations and reputation management team, with primary responsibility for creating and implementing proactive communication strategies for high-impact or high-risk matters. This role will report to the Vice President of Public Relations and partner with senior leaders across communications and the business to develop and execute communication strategies, plans and materials to complement business objectives; improve customer, patient and consumer awareness and understanding of BD; drive the company’s relationships with and coverage in the media and protect the company’s reputation in crisis situations. This individual takes an active leadership role on issues management across the company, including recalls, litigation and other sensitive matters. 

The role also provides guidance and expertise to the business unit communicators across the BD Medical and BD Interventional segments for any high-risk or high-impact matters, particularly media relations and issues management. The role serves as a collaborative partner to six business units to identify and execute strategic communication initiatives in support of the BD purpose to advance the world of health.

The role will align with senior leadership, including business unit and segment presidents and key functional leaders, on how to best amplify and prioritize announcements and key milestones based on the current pulse of the media.

In addition, this role will require positioning complex clinical applications and/or advancements within current and future industry trends frequently covered by the media. 

Scope of Responsibility 

• Develop, manage and successfully implement comprehensive communication plans that support high-risk, high-impact matters such as mergers and acquisitions, major product launches, facility expansions, product recalls, litigation and other highly sensitive projects.

• Act as the chief lieutenant to the Vice President of Public Relations in response to crisis management issues and managing the media.

• Serve as a company spokesperson across a multitude of media outlets and other external stakeholders.

• Build proactive and reactive communication strategies that align with BD business objectives, marketing strategies and overarching company priorities to ensure positive perceptions of the company and supporting BD’s overall reputation.

• Act as primary communication counselor to segment  presidents and business leaders and advise on communication strategy for internal and external audiences.

• Develop and execute on strategic tactics that align with and complement other functions and overall BD corporate priorities, including public policy and investor relations efforts.

• Position BD experts as industry thought leaders.

• Maintain policies and procedures for communication material development, as well as build and maintain positive, effective relationships with internal business/product teams, external media contacts and public relations agencies.

• Manage and implement internal and external special events; providing and updating information for internet/intranet sites to educate internal audiences, customers, third parties and media.

• Actively manage agencies and consultants that support BD communication initiatives.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Journalism, Public Relations or Communications.

• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in communications, with at least five years of media relations and crisis communications experience.

• Proven ability to effectively communicate with an emphasis on message development with excellent writing and editing skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with a publicly traded corporation is a plus.

• Expertise in AP Style writing highly preferred.

Key Role:

Work alongside supervisors and managers as well as alongside technical personnel such as Network Engineers and System Administrators. Participate in the development or modification of computer environment security program plans and requirements. Supervise or manage protective or corrective measures when a cybersecurity incident or vulnerability is discovered. Ensure that cybersecurity requirements are integrated into the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) for that system or DoD Component. Ensure that cybersecurity requirements are appropriately identified in computer environment operation procedures. Prepare, distribute, and maintain plans, instructions, guidance, and standard operating procedures concerning the security of network systems operations. Develop security requirements specific to an IT acquisition for inclusion in procurement documents. Develop security requirements for hardware, software, and services acquisitions specific to cybersecurity programs. Ensure that IA and IA-enabled software, hardware, and firmware comply with appropriate security configuration guidelines, policies, and procedures. Review cybersecurity plans and identify alternative functional cybersecurity strategies to address organizational security concerns. Ensure that cybersecurity inspections, tests, and reviews are coordinated. Evaluate the presence and adequacy of security measures proposed or provided in response to requirements contained in acquisition documents. Advise the Authorizing Official of any changes affecting any systems’ security posture.

Basic Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience working in cybersecurity
• 2+ years of experience using Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
• Experience with authorization actions concerning software development and testing, and the interpretation of patterns of non-compliance to determine their impact on levels of risk or overall effectiveness of the enclave’s cybersecurity program
• Experience evaluating risk analysis in the decision-making process, and evaluating proposals to determine if proposed security solutions effectively address enclave requirements, as detailed in solicitation documents
• Experience reviewing cybersecurity policies
• Knowledge of the configuration management (CM) of DoD software, including source code, documentation, and fieldable products, and DoD security and program protection and declassification operations
• Knowledge of DoD 8500, AR 25-2, AR 70-1, and DA PAM 70-3 Army Acquisition Implementation
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree
• DoD 8570 or 8140, and CompTIA Security+ Certification

Summary of This Role

Develops, configures, documents, and maintains information security solutions.  Installs and configures web proxies, SIEMs, web application firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint monitoring software, and vulnerability scanning systems.  Monitors and responds to alerts.  Ensures that threats and vulnerabilities to the organization’s business systems and applications (both in-house and cloud-based) are minimized.  Evaluates web application security controls and performs validation testing as needed.  Evaluates information security configurations when intrusions have occurred and monitors the effectiveness of implemented changes.  Monitors overall compliance with security standards and conducts periodic security reviews.

What Part Will You Play?

• Assists others delivering secure solutions and/or secure remediation solutions for moderately complex projects to the enterprise with good technical applications included.
• Supports others installing tools to specifically secure each level within security frame work for moderate projects.
• Researches and develops skills regarding new security technologies and trends while also helping to validate corporate conformance to industry standards utilizing set analysis criteria.
• Provides support for investigating intrusion incidents, conduct forensic investigations for moderate projects and helps others who provide incident responses.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Relevant Experience or Degree in: in Information Security or Computer Science preferred. Other majors will be considered.
• Typically Minimum 2 Years Relevant Exp
• Experience within Information Security or Information Technology. Experience managing projects. Additional 4 years related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a US Citizen eligible to complete a Public Trust Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud security experience
• DevSecOps
• Scripting knowledge such as Python and PowerShell
• One or more of the following-CISSP, CEH, CISA, CISM, eWPTX, OSWE, CRISC, CGEIT
