• Determine which anatomical location is most representative and identify and properly code the causative agent for injuries and infections.

We are looking for a Dentist to cover a locum assignment with the Ministry of Defence (MoD), at HMS Nelson Dental Centre, in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

This is a locum role (37 hours per week) and the successful candidate will deliver an exceptional standard of care to the MoD service personnel.

Job Description – Service Requirements
• To work independently and to provide both a full range of dental treatment to maintain oral health and to undertake related general administrative duties where required to work towards improving and maintaining the dental health and operational fitness of personnel for whom they are providing care for.
• To assist the Senior Dental Officer (SDO), when present, or operate independently to achieve dental fitness targets, for all entitled personnel, as detailed in the SG Policy and Standards Document (P&SD).
• To ensure that not less than 6.5 hours per day in 2 sessions are set aside for direct patient contact.
• To ensure that all treatment is correctly recorded on the electronic health record and any relevant FMed documents

Essential Requirements / Qualifications / Experience
• Fully registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) without restrictions.
• Certified completion of Foundation Training in Dentistry in the UK, or have evidence of at least 12 months full-time postgraduate clinical experience derived in a primary dental care setting, or have qualified before foundation training became compulsory in the NHS.
• Must hold valid suitable and appropriate indemnity insurance with a recognised dental defence organisation.
• Must provide evidence of clinical currency in accordance with JSP 950 Leaflet 4-1-4 Returning to Clinical Practice, specifically a minimum of 2 clinical sessions per week over the last 15 months.
• To have completed GDC highly recommended Continuing Professional Development (CPD) including medical emergencies, safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, disinfection and decontamination, radiography and radiation protection.
• To be trained and current in emergency and resuscitation procedures and have practised and tested these procedures at least annually in accordance with Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines and JSP 950 Leaflet 4-6-1 DMS CPR Standards and Training.

As a Personal Trainer at our Portsmouth Fitness and Wellbeing Club, you're confident, outgoing and approachable. Whether you've been training for a while or just recently qualified, it's important that you've achieved REPs Level 3 or CIMSPA Practitioner (or above). A natural communicator, you're great at listening, understanding and explaining things.

As a Personal Trainer, you will:

• Be confident about delivering a range of sessions and consultations.

• Carry out high-quality inductions, group and personal training sessions, and general gym duties.

• Have the opportunity for further training from the in house Personal Best program, upskilling to Les Mills instructor and group cycle, plus additional CPD opportunities.

Salary is based on 40 hours a week, made up of 32 Hours gym floor with 8 hours of PT sessions. As your client base grows, you will drop your gym floor hours to maximise your PT earning potential of up to £31,620.16 OTE.

Whilst on probation all contracts will be a minimum of 24 gym floor hours, this is to ensure you earn a guaranteed minimum salary. Your earning will increase as you establish your PT clients and improve your earning potential.

PT sessions have a sliding scale, the more you deliver the more your take home earning potential is.
