The Schools Finance Support Partner is responsible to the Strategic Finance Partner and responsible to produce schools financial and statistical reporting and supporting schools with the identification and management of financial risk. Working with the schools, they will ensure that the Trust operates good financial governance in line with the requirements of the Academies Financial Handbook published by the Education Funding Agency (EFA), the Trust Financial Scheme of Delegation.Duties will include, but are not limited to; Obtain, analyse and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, etc. in order to ensure effective internal controls and compliance by the Trusts academies. Be responsible for, where the service is commissioned by the trust, the entry of financial transactions (orders, invoices etc) for the school. THE ROLE
You will report to the Credit Supervisor and the role involves responsibility for a large ledger of live accounts. You will be responsible for chasing payments from customers and dealing with all queries on invoices. Raising invoices, dealing with debit and credit notes, allocation of cash and reconciling the petty cash. There will be some complex customers to deal with so a good eye for detail is essential. You will also be required to build relationships with clients, dealing with all types of clients from small to large companies. Other duties will include general adhoc admin duties such as credit checking and opening new accounts.

REQUIREMENTS
You will have worked in a credit control role and have had full ownership of a ledger of accounts for 2 – 3 years. With a good overall knowledge of the Credit department including court letters. You will be committed, hardworking and you will be a good communicator and be able to work in a team of established team of staff. You will need little supervision and have the experience to prioritise a heavy, demanding workload.

Working hours:
35 hours per week
Monday - Friday (shifts between the hours of 8am - 6pm). One in every three Saturdays (8am - 1pm).

Key Accountabilities:

• Protecting and enhancing customer and company interests by using active questioning and listening techniques to determine customers financial and personal circumstances.


• Identifying customer needs and responding to them, ensuring all relevant facts and information is gathered and protected, to ensure the most appropriate outcome for the customer.


• Handling each call in a professional manner and having the ability to show empathy and sympathy as required


• Negotiating affordable re-payment plans with customers in financial difficulty following income and expenditure analysis
