An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious registered Nutritionist to develop their clinical skills and work in a large multi-disciplinary obesity team.

Here at GSTT, we have a close-knit team of dietitians, dietetic assistants, nutritionists, physiotherapy, doctors, psychology, psychotherapy and technical instructors. This is an exciting role for registered clinical nutritionists, to support our 1:1 services and delivery of group education.

You will play a key role in assessing new patients coming into the obesity service, requiring strong people skills and advanced nutrition clinical skills. This role will sit alongside three other band 5 nutrition roles, where you will be involved in delegating of tasks to the wider dietetic assistant team, as well as line managing more junior members of the assistant team.

You will deliver one-to-one clinical services, as well as group interventions virtually and face to face across South East London. You will also contribute to service development and operational meetings.

You can choose to work remotely from home for some of the week, from our office site in Elephant and castle, or a combination of both. You will be delivering the online interventions, as well as delivering face-to-face groups at community sites across South East London. You will work 09:00-17:00 three days per week, and 11:30-19:30 two days per week.

You must have a depth of experience of delivering behaviour change interventions to groups of patients with significantly complex health challenges, and be confident to do this using virtual platforms. You should have experience of delivering interventions to people from the Black African and Black Caribbean communities. You must have a developed understanding of weight bias and stigma in both healthcare and everyday life.

B7 Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital / West Middlesex Hospital & St Mary's Hospital

A new B7 post has arisen for an experienced paediatric speech and language therapist with skills in dysphagia to work in the acute service. This is a new post developed to increase VFSS capacity working closely with SLT colleagues, including at St Mary's Hospital, to increase access to existing VF services for North West London.

This role is suited to someone with an interest in gaining or consolidating skills in diagnostic interventions including VF and FEES. The post supports both hospitals to expand their capacity for VFSS and you will be required to run clinics at either site.You will be supported in the role and be given training to ensure you achieve RCSLT VF competencies. This post requires someone with a collaborative and flexible approach to working across organisations.

The postholder will also hold an inpatient and outpatient caseload. The service covers the paediatric wards at Chelsea and West Middlesex Hospital sites, including the SCBU and level 3 gastro-surgical NICU. A small outpatient service offers expert clinical advice for complex referrals and dysphagia management for infants under 6 months.

You will work closely with the MDT to deliver expert care to infants, children and their families. The team benefits from excellent working relationships with the MDT including ENT, gastro and respiratory consultants.

• To work as an autonomous practitioner to provide dysphagia assessment and intervention to a varied paediatric caseload, including infants on the neonatal unit, paediatric wards and outpatient service.



• To work with infants and children who may have long-term complex conditions, to provide specialist assessment and management plans.



• To deliver video fluoroscopy assessments for both inpatients and outpatients with dysphagia to offer expert diagnosis and management plans depending on results.



• To engage in regular supervision with the clinical lead.



• To support with clinical problem solving and provide managerial expertise for colleagues both within the Trust and within North West London.



• To participate in CPD and other developmental activities and encourage all members of your team to do likewise.

This is an exciting opportunity for a newly or recently qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, who is keen to take on the challenges of working in a diverse borough with complex presentations.Candidates should have an interest in working with people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties and high comorbidity, with clients from a range of religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. The post holder will be expected to work alongside other Psychologists, including a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist who will also provide supervision.

The successful candidate will be part of a vibrant multi-disciplinary team operating out of our community office based in Isle of Dogs with an equal focus on providing input to the locality inpatient wards at Tower Hamlets Centre for Mental Health at Mile End Hospital. The post holder will work alongside the team’s 8a Psychologist providing assessment and empirically informed, but necessarily flexible, therapy to service users. In collaboration with more senior staff, the successful candidate will contribute to staff training and provide psychological advice (informal,ad hoc, and formal consultation) to other staff, support family members and liaise with primary and secondary care providers and various other statutory and non-statutory agencies involved in service users’ care.

• Provide specialist psychological assessments of service users of the locality service, when care is managed under the CPA (community and in patients). This is to be based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex psychological data from a variety of quantitative and qualitative sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and assessments with service users and others involved in their care. • Be responsible for the formulation and implementation of a broad range of specialist psychological treatment and/or management of service users’ mental health problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of those problems derived from a broad theoretical knowledge of psychology, and employing methods based upon evidence of proven efficacy, across the full range of care settings.
• Be responsible for implementing a range of specialist psychological interventions for individual service users, carers and groups, employed singly and in combination, adjusting and refining psychological formulations as practice and experience demand, and drawing upon different explanatory models to maintain a number of provisional hypotheses.
• Evaluate and make decisions about treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical, development and cultural processes and systems which have shaped the individual, family or group.
• Be responsible for providing and receiving highly complex, sensitive, distressing and emotional information in relation to mental and physical health issues, where there are often difficulties in terms of acceptance or understanding.

This medical retina clinical and research fellowship in Moorfields offers a unique experience for aspiring medical retina specialists to obtain the experience and knowledge in managing complex medical retina, genetics and uveitis cases essential for taking up a future consultant post. It also offers the opportunity to participate and be an investigator in exciting clinical trials including multi-centre and multi-national studies.

In this post as a medical retina clinical and research fellow in Moorfields Eye Hospital, you will spend half your time in the medical retina, uveitis and genetics clinics managing complex cases under the guidance and tutelage of senior consultants and the other half within the R&D department working within the clinical research facility as an investigator in numerous clinical trials.

The applicant should have completed their ophthalmology training locally and is seeking fellowship training in medical retina.

Ability to manage common medical retina pathology with experience in retinal laser treatment and intravitreal injection is required.
