Your new role

Your key duties will involve overseeing and contributing towards the timely preparation of trust accounts and tax returns, including inheritance tax returns, and dealing with HM Revenue and Customs as required. Calculating trustees' liabilities to IHT, CGT and Income Tax, and making use of annual exemptions, along with dealing with payments and distributions from trusts, both capital and discretionary income distributions. You will manage your own caseload, client relationships and engage with all those that may be involved, proactively managing your clients to ensure any tax-planning and/or succession planning issues are considered, along with preparing/attending trustee's meetings. You will activate investment reviews, monitor the performance of investments, prepare/review investment policy statements, and manage relationships to deal with beneficiaries, drafting deeds, and associated policies. You will review/interpret trust deeds and related documentation, and delegate/supervise the work of more junior members of the team.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on Trust & Tax Manager role, you will ideally need experience in a similar position, an understanding of trust accounts, taxation of trusts, income tax, and ideally have experience with computerised accounts along with Trust/Tax software. You will be a proactive team player, who is also highly self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative. Possess excellent team working skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues of all levels, including mentoring and guiding less experienced members of the team as required, along with being able to build rapport with clients to develop effective working relationships. You will have a good legal and commercial understanding of clients' needs, take a hands-on working approach, with strong problem-solving skills. Experience within the Legal sector and a STEP qualification would be advantageous but not essential. The role is open to Accountants from practice with an interest in trust accounting as well as experienced Personal Tax Accountants with an understanding of preparing accounts.

To be considered for this hands-on Finance Manager role, you will need experience within a similar position, used to varied and hands-on accounting roles and adaptable to business needs. Experience working within small to medium-sized companies, managing workloads and meeting deadlines. Strong communication skills to build relationships both internally and externally with non-financial management, with experience in financial systems and MS Excel skills. Ideally, you will be part-qualified/qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA or qualified by experience. You will be a positive and proactive team member, who is comfortable suggesting/implementing improvements. About the Role

Acorns Children's Hospice are a children's charity, offering specialist palliative nursing care and support for local children and their families. Every year, we support over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families, including those who are bereaved. We have a network of charity shops across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire, which help to provide the funding that we need to provide this care.

Our new shop on Tewkesbury High Street will feature pre-loved clothing, books, furniture and much more! We're looking for a Deputy Shop Manager to support us with the planning and opening, helping to find volunteers, donations and be part of the new opening celebrations. Once the shop is open, you'll work with and support the Shop Manager, in making decisions to drive your business within the community, to encourage volunteer and donor support, and to act as an entrepreneur to maximise every sales opportunity available.

You’ll work with the Community Shop Manager to make local decisions about the quality of stock, levels of pricing and style of merchandising. You’ll discuss sales reports from the EPOS system, analyse and in consultation with the Community Shop Manager, make decisions based on the data and trends these reports show. You’ll provide inspired leadership and motivation for a team of volunteers and maximise the potential of every individual within your shop by understanding their skills and experiences, and utilising them to reach their full potential.

Job Title: Finance Manager The Cabot Learning Federation is a mature multi-academy trust (MAT) of 35 academies in the South West of England. Reporting to the Finance Director you will extensive management experience and be able to lead and develop existing skills as well as develop processes and controls as the company continues to grow rapidly.

The Profile

My client is looking for someone who can lead from the front, able to build strong relationships liaising with their teams, internal departments, and external stakeholders. You will have the end-to-end responsibility to ensure proactive debtor cash collection and supplier payment management thereby optimising the cash flow for the business.

The Role

• Overall responsibility of weekly and monthly credit and debit process
• Oversight and delivery of the month end revenue recognition and close process including reconciliations of all AR related balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure collection of cash in a timely manner, management of aged debt and limit the company's exposure to bad debt.
• Ensure all team tasks are carried out correctly and on time including but not limited to the processing of invoices, payment runs and AP ledger reconciliation.
• Prepare and/or review weekly bank reconciliations.
• Ownership of the payment run process prepared by the AP team to ensure weekly payment runs are accurate and complete.
• Prepare weekly cash flow forecast and identify risks and opportunities to Senior Finance Directors.
