GTS is looking to appoint a Level 2 Learning Support Assistant to work one to one with an identified pupil, to start as soon as possible.
The ability to communicate clearly, adaptability to meet a wide variety of situations, a sense of humour and a genuine desire to support and motivate young people in their learning, and an interest in supporting the social, emotional, and mental health needs of young people, are all essential for this post. One of the twelve schools within the Blackdown Education Partnership, Axe Valley currently has approximately 750 students in Years 7–11. The Academy is located in East Devon, in the beautiful market town of Axminster, which is set on the River Axe. Axminster is just a few miles inland from the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site but has excellent rail links to London and Exeter.

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a high quality, enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join the department. If you have the desire to make a real difference to the lives of young people and want to join a team of highly dedicated staff, then we would love to hear from you.

This role would be suitable for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to start their teaching career within a MAT which provides lots of opportunities as well as working within a supportive department.
