About you

You will

be a talented and motivational educator, capable of supporting students to succeed;
Good honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
have professional expertise in accounting/finance
have experience of teaching on accounting and finance courses accredited by relevant PSRBs (Institute of Financial Accountants, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW)
ideally, you will be a CCAB membership (desirable)
ideally, you will have knowledge/experience of degree apprenticeships (desirable)

Working for an established and expanding provider of care and support to adults with severe learning disabilities and complex needs we are seeking a Senior Support Worker to join their team.

The role:

• As a Senior Support Worker you will be responsible for the running of the shifts and supporting the Support Workers.
• Ensuring the smooth running of the shifts, providing support to adults with learning disabilities supporting with daily living skills, personal care needs, administering medications
• Supervisions of staff, 1-1s,
• Accurate report writing and updating records
• Adhering to policies and procedures and dealing with any safeguarding concerns
• On call duties
• Working on a rota basis which will include the hours of between 8am - 22.00.

Ideal candidate:

• Someone with experience of working within a similar setting supporting adults with complex needs and learning disability.
• Supervisory experience and flexible to work on a rota basis

About You
You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. You will be a graduate sports therapist, or equivalent allied health profession with a musculoskeletal specialism, with experience of clinical teaching on a relevant academic program. Alternatively, a sports scientist / kinesiologist with application in sports injury prevention / rehabilitation. You will have an understanding of the role of a sports therapist and the clinical competencies defined by the Society of Sports Therapists.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Support Administrator to join The Faculty of Health, Social Care & Medicine.

This is a varied and interesting opportunity within a friendly and supportive team, working closely with the Associate Dean for Research and academic staff undertaking research. You will line manage a research administration team and co-ordinate the effective administrative support provided by the Faculty Research Office to the Faculty Management and Academic team, students, and key stakeholders.

Salary: Up to £30,844.99 per annum (inclusive of potential sleep in payments)

Hours: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week - There is a 2 week shift rota so you can plan your year in advance;

Our next Senior Care Worker will be someone who has:

Mandatory: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or NVQ equivalent
A big heart and passion to make a difference to the occupants’ lives.
Patience, resilience, and calmness.

Chaperoning occupants to appointments and activities
Completing relevant paperwork
Household tasks
Administering medication
Lead, train and develop new and existing support workers within your team

The Location

We are hiring Senior Care Workers for Underley Garden School which is an Independent Special School and Accommodation based near the village of Kirkby Lonsdale in Cumbria, providing support for individuals between the ages of 5-19. The school was judged to be Outstanding in all areas in April 2022. During their latest inspection, the Accommodation was judged Good.
