The incumbent serves as the liaison between the park and regional level; maintains and keeps current the VIP Policy and VIP Handbook; judiciously manages the VIP budget; posts available volunteer positions where appropriate; trains and supports volunteer supervisors across all Outer Banks Group Parks and districts. The incumbent actively seeks and schedules volunteer groups including alternative spring breaks, service groups, and corporate volunteer groups.

The incumbent and subordinates staff the Bodie Island Lighthouse climbing operations providing safety talks and interpretive messaging on lighthouse history and protection. The incumbent provides first aid and manages medical evacuations out of the lighthouse. The incumbent and subordinates develop and present scheduled and impromptu interpretive talks (on and off-site) about the park's natural and cultural resources and recreational opportunities, using appropriate techniques and devices for the audience.

The incumbent serves as the primary advocate for the planning, development, improvement, and adjustment to interpretive programming in the Bodie Island sub-district. The incumbent works as an effective member of the Bodie Island Leadership Team in managing cross-divisional issues.

FUNCTIONS:

The Advanced MSA works collaboratively in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model and performs receptionist duties, customer service and other duties assigned for the proper and timely treatment of patients and maintains appointment schedules for one or more outpatient clinics. General description of assigned duties include but are not limited to:

Clinical (90%):
The Physician Assistant (PA) assists with clinical aspects of care to the patients of the Gynecology Service. This includes performing evaluations, consultations, and the writing of orders in Gynecology clinic. The PA has the authority to order all tests and procedures necessary to evaluate and care for Gynecology patients. The PA will collaborate with Gynecology attendings to initiate and coordinate fee-basis requests so that care/studies can be provided. The PA also works collaboratively with nursing staff to provide clinical guidance for patient triage needs via in-person encounters or other telephone or electronic communications. All Gynecology evaluations/orders written by the PA will fall within the guidelines of the NC Board of Medical Examiners and the bylaws of the Durham VAMC.

The PA provides clinical management of healthcare to veterans assigned to the Gynecology service. The PA facilitates care of Gynecology patients as well as their entry and exit from various health care systems by establishing and maintaining liaison with a variety of surgical/medical specialists and associated staff. The advanced practice provider ensures that all outpatient Garner (and Durham as needed) Gynecology consult requests are reviewed, examined, and completed within 24-48 hours. On a regular and recurring basis, the PA reviews all upcoming Gynecology consult patients to ensure that they have had their studies completed before their clinic appointment. If they have not been completed, then they facilitate rescheduling as needed. The PA will also request the required imaging and laboratory studies from outside facilities as needed and is the point of contact to Radiology/Lab services regarding all absent imaging orders, incomplete/inaccurate imaging requests, and incomplete lab requests.

The PA initiates and accepts referrals to clinics and/or community agencies. Collaborates with other health care resources to insure timely and appropriate care of patients. The PA will also work with the CITC office to ensure patients for whom have referrals to community subspecialty providers have completed the following: been scheduled with the appropriate subspecialty providers and have received the appropriate subspecialty care . The PA will coordinate with the CITC office and patients directly about compliance with scheduling and receipt of community care subspecialty services.

Performs office procedures within their realm of expertise and under the direction of the Chief of Gynecology and in accordance with the individual's Scope of Practice. Expected proficiency in office procedures includes: EMB, LARC insertions/removals, colposcopy, skin biopsies, and bedside ultrasounds of early pregnancy. Responds to and participates with the Gynecology Chief and other administrative officials regarding patient problems and issues. Tracks, reviews and coordinates care for patients with abnormal pathology results from procedures (Pap smears, endometrial biopsies, dilation and curettage, hysterectomy, oophorectomy, etc.), and abnormal radiology results, for the Gynecology Service. Other clinical duties as assigned by the Gynecology Section Chief.

Administrative (10%):

• Facilitate response/actions to patient inquires to care and treatment received by the Gynecology Service.
• Develop clinical programs, educational materials, and processes as needed with clinical expansion.

About the Role
Our client is recruiting for a passionate, motivated, and dedicated Team Manager with extensive experience working with adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager who is keen to use their coaching and mentoring skills while upholding high standards in service delivery.
You will lead an Autism Outreach Service that supports individuals across seven London Boroughs, helping them live at home with family or in supported living environments. Strong collaboration with family members and other stakeholders will be essential. The role requires managing and motivating a staff team to provide creative, flexible, and person-centered services that enable individuals to thrive and be active members of their community.
You will be supported by two deputy managers to lead a large team of outreach support workers, ensuring that the service maintains the highest quality of care and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess new referrals and develop comprehensive support and risk management plans
• Build and maintain strong relationships with families and other professionals/stakeholders
• Coach, mentor, and develop a resilient team of support workers and deputy managers
• Ensure the service delivers innovative, person-centered support that meets individuals' needs and outcomes
• Manage the service within budget and achieve expected performance indicators
• Maintain service standards to meet CQC requirements, aiming for a rating of "Good" or "Outstanding"
• Line manage deputy managers and oversee outreach services across multiple boroughs
• Ensure that support plans and risk assessments reflect individual needs and aspirations
• Apply safeguarding principles and practices in line with the Mental Capacity Act

About You
The ideal candidate will have:

• Significant management experience in a similar setting
• At least 3 years of experience delivering person-centered support to people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs
• A minimum of 1 year's experience managing services for individuals with complex needs, including behaviors of concern
• A qualification in Positive Behaviour Support Coaching (BILD accredited), NAPPI Level 2, or a willingness to complete the qualification within 3 months
• Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with various stakeholders
• Staff management experience, including leading and motivating a team to deliver high-quality support
• The ability to think creatively and manage emergency situations effectively
• Experience developing needs assessments and support plans for people with behaviors of concern
• A passion for empowering people with autism or learning disabilities to lead the lives they choose

Desirable:

• Knowledge of managing budgets
• Emotional and physical resilience to handle challenging environments
