For this role we are open to applications at all levels, whether that be from initial training of Support Engineer, up to a Senior Level Gas Engineer with NC02 and above. The level of pay will be dependent on your experience level, and proof of certifications on request.
Fuel A Thriving Career
- Support Engineer
- Basic Salary of £26,935 whilst in training, increasing to £28,525 + Incentive scheme and standby payments
- Team Leader
- Basic Salary
- £37,765 when fully qualified + Incentive scheme and standby payments
- Monthly Performance Incentive Scheme of up to a maximum of £375 (Potential Earnings £4500 per annum)
- Participation in Standby Rota and Shifts required
- (Standby payments circa £6000 per annum)
- Use of Company van while at work
- Mobile phone supplied & laptop

- Pension Scheme double matched up to a total of 18% of salary (i.e., employee contributions of up to 6%, double matched by a Cadent contribution of up to 12%)

About The Role
Working as part of a team and assisting the Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for attending gas escapes and carrying out appropriate repairs. You’ll need to have exceptional customer service skills, be extremely enthusiastic and have the ability to promote safe working practice, whilst driving efficiency and maintaining compliant ways of working.
Your day to day duties will include:
- Assisting the Team Leader
- Attending gas leaks
- Groundwork
- Excavations and reinstatements
- Utilising appropriate signing, lighting and guarding
- Ensuring cable avoidance
- Delivering equipment and tools where required
- Patrol and plant protection
- Working on deep excavations up to 2.5m
- Working on a standby rota system
To carry out this role you must have a full valid drivers licence and be able to be clean shaven every day for health and safety. The role will also include shift working and occasion weekend work.
