The role

We are currently looking to recruit an IT Service Engineer to join our IT team here at Housing 21.

Within the role you will provide desk based, remote and mobile on-site support on all aspects of technology deployments including technology equipment/applications/installations/network/lines used by Housing 21 (both business and desktop systems) to all levels of users throughout the organisation. Where directed, this service may extend to resident technology services.

You will act as the professional technical expert for dealing with triaged service desk tickets allocated to the Service Engineer team, as well as lead in the setup and deployment of IT services to new and existing Housing 21 locations and decommissioning at end of life.

You will provide hardware fulfilment for all requests allocated to the postholders geographic or functional areas of responsibility.

The position necessitates a degree of flexibility in working hours, with primary coverage required for Housing 21 IT Support from 0800 to 1700, Monday through Friday. This may be subject to review as the organisation develops its working patterns.

The role is a mobile worker role covering Birmingham, frequent travel will be required to fulfil the requirements of the role.

Nepacs is a long-standing charity which has been working in the north east since 1882, predominantly supporting people impacted by contact with the criminal justice system. The Role and the Department

What does a live-in carer do?
Live-in carers live with a client for the duration of their chosen work pattern. You’ll look after one person or at times a couple, following a person centred care plan where you’ll tailor your support to meet your clients’ needs. Duties are likely to include assisting with daily activities, personal care, or support in managing conditions such as dementia, but also include cooking, cleaning and ensuring the smooth running of the household. You could be working on average 8 - 10 hours per day based on your clients’ needs (please note your daily rate will vary depending on the agreed number of daily hours you are working).

We have a number of different rota patterns to choose from ranging from 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off to 10 weeks on, 2 weeks off. • Income Reconciliation and Invoice Management: Reconcile income for various accounts, including the General Registry Office, and prepare bank lodgements.
• Cash Handling: Process cash intake, issue receipts, and prepare weekly bank lodgements.
• Administrative Support: Handle general administrative duties, including managing calls, mail, and electronic filing systems.
• Account Reviews: Review accounts for credit notes or refunds and liaise with customers to resolve payment issues.
• Data Management: Update financial data in management systems and ensure accurate income and VAT classification allocation.
• Year-End Accounts: Assist in year-end financial processes, including debtor ledger and bank account reconciliation.
• Rents Register: Maintain and update the Rents receivable register for Council properties.
• Currency Rates: Monitor and distribute Euro currency rates to relevant departments.
• Credit Card Reconciliation: Process monthly reconciliations of Council credit cards.
• Parking Income: Prepare and reconcile claims for car park income and manage unpaid parking fines.
• Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to Council policies and audit regulations in all financial transactions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in a financial or accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, debt collection, and reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency with financial software and management information systems (e.g., Sun, Vision, Konducta).
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Desirable Qualifications:

• A relevant financial qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Experience in a public sector or Council environment.
