Within the role you will Ensure an effective and responsive delivery of the lettings process within the Court by ensuring a quality service to Housing 21 customers and applicants who wish to let a Housing 21 property.

The Role
You will line manage an average of 10/11 customer-facing Court Managers (CMs) and will play a key role not only in ensuring that each scheme is compliant with legal requirements such as safety, but also in improving resident satisfaction, which is already at 91% across the country! Contributing to the service’s quality assurance system by way of auditing, conducting observations and responding to residents’ feedback
Preparing rotas in line with commissioned care hours
Acting as the responsible person for the safe running of the care service in the absence of the Registered Manager

To qualify for the role, you will have:
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care or equivalent (Essential qualification or must be willing to undertake this qualification on appointment to the role)
• Significant practitioner and/or management experience, skills and knowledge in one or more of the following areas;
o Services for older people/people
o Residential day or community services for older people
o Extra Care or Home care services for older people
o Prevention or re-enablement services for older people
• Experience of supervising and managing a small team, ideally within an organisation providing Social Care and / or Social Housing.
• Experience in Housing Management & Maintenance

In Extra Care, our residents live independently in their own homes within our schemes, complete with communal lounges, gardens, cafés/bistros and salons. The role of a Housing Manager is to ensure residents receive a high quality and responsive service in a safe and secure environment, including providing support where necessary, and encouraging independence and choice.

The successful candidate will also ensure that landlord duties are discharged in accordance with Housing 21 policies and procedures.

To qualify for the role, you will have:

Experience of supervising and managing a small team, ideally within an organisation providing Social Housing
Experience of providing a professional, high quality housing service to older and/ or vulnerable people
Experience of Housing Management & Maintenance
Experience of Housing aid and advice
Experience of working within a secure and confidential environment and dealing with sensitive personal information
Good general standard of education with GCSE’s (Grade C or above) in English and Maths
Substantial administrative experience
Sound knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
Knowledge of the Social Housing Sector and the relevant Legislation and regulations

In Extra Care, our residents live independently in their own homes within one of our schemes, complete with communal lounges, gardens, cafés/bistros and salons.

Your role as our Court Cleaner will be to help us provide our residents with a clean and safe space, ensuring the public/communal areas within the Court are kept clean and tidy.

You will also be responsible to provide support to the manager with cleaning and preparing void flats as and when required.

While experience in a similar role is not essential, we are looking for someone with a great attention to detail and who takes pride in what they do.

Within the role of Housing and Care Manager you will be responsible for the operational management and quality of the care service, ensuring viability and promoting person centred provision to meet resident needs.


You will ensure that the care quality commission essential standards are met and that the highest level of customer service is provided.

You will also ensure residents receive a high quality and responsive housing and care service in a safe and secure environment, including providing support where necessary and encouraging independence and choice.

You will be expected to collaborate with the housing provider, local authority and their stakeholders to promote a positive atmosphere within the Court whilst encouraging social interaction and reducing isolation.

To qualify for the role, you will have:

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care or equivalent (Essential qualification or must be willing to undertake this qualification on appointment to the role)
• Significant practitioner and/or management experience, skills and knowledge in one or more of the following areas;
o Services for older people/people
o Residential day or community services for older people
o Extra Care or Home care services for older people
o Prevention or re-enablement services for older people
• Experience of supervising and managing a small team, ideally within an organisation providing Social Care and / or Social Housing.
• Experience in Housing Management & Maintenance
• Experience in Housing aid and advice
• Experience of working in a multi disciplinary team
