Admin Team Leader

Manchester Royal Eye Hospital are looking for a Booking and Scheduling Team Leader with operational and administration experience who can provide strong leadership. You will have direct responsibility for a busy team of administrative staff within the Clinical Activity team whilst also supporting services across all REH sites. You will be responsible for providing a consistent and standardised administration structure for the multi-disciplinary teams whilst ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency are maintained at all times.
You will be responsible for ensuring a standardised application of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines for the hospital. You must have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt and liaise with staff at all levels. More important is your ability to become a key contributor to a team, work unsupervised, use your initiative and adapt well to change.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of experience in customer service are required in order to deliver this role effectively. As part of your leadership role you are expected to show relevant attributes including the ability to lead and mentor others whilst prioritising incoming work streams.
Proactive and reliable, you will have excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail and must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (notably advanced Excel) with the ability to pick up computer processes / systems quickly.
You will have experience in managing and/or supervising administrative / clerical teams with experience of managing / coordinating waiting lists and a good knowledge of NHS waiting time targets.
