Based within the Enterprise and Communities service you will be working within a multi disciplinary environment, responsible for the provision of the design and contract administration of refurbishment projects within the Housing Property Services team. Due to the geographical spread of the on-site workload, travel throughout North Lanarkshire will be required.
An SVQ Level 3/HNC/ Apprenticeship or equivalent in a Building related discipline is essential. Membership of Institute of Clerk of Works is desirable. Extended relevant experience of site/contractor supervision or Clerk of Works or building trade experience is essential.
You should also be a good communicator with knowledge of current building regulations and Health & Safety legislation. Local Authority experience with experience of refurbishment and large scale investment projects is desirable.
As a Clerk or Works, you may be required to participate in a rota to facilitate the out of hours’ response service during evenings and weekends.
Work Pattern:
35 hours per week: Monday-Thursday 8.45am - 4.45pm
Friday 8.45am - 4.15pm

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
