WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As the Senior Accountant, Accounting Operations Trading Company for Nike Trading Company B.V. and Nike Global Trading B.V. in Singapore (“Nike Trading Company”), you will be responsible for managing the global Inventory and intercompany accounting activities for the buy/sell operations of the Nike Trading Company.
We are looking for a candidate with strong SAP skills in the MM/FI modules and accounting operations experience, preferably in the areas of Inventory and Intercompany. The individual is also expected to communicate complex concepts as well as work collaboratively, independently and partner cross functionally with multi-cultural stakeholders, both financially and non-financially trained.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you’ll be responsible for E2E inventory/global intercompany accounting processes accounting process for buy/sell operations for legal entity reporting in SAP R/3 and S4 including: timely execution of month-end closing activities which includes inventory adjustments, cutoff entries, inventory aging review, purchase price variance analysis, various intercompany chargeback entries, month-end reporting and variance analysis. Where there are exceptions, investigate, communicate and follow up effectively with the relevant parties and close off with proper documentation.
You will also be managing quarterly inventory count and reconciliation activities as well as year end confirmation and support internal and external audits in the relevant scope. Furthermore, you will also ensure compliance with NIKE’s Corporate policies, SOX controls, and statutory/tax filing requirements.
You will also be required to partner with various stakeholders including Global and Geography/Country Controlling, Supply Chain, Tax, Global Treasury to support business requirements, research on exceptions to identify root causes, and drive process improvements. Additionally, you will maintain the integrity of financial statements and compliance with US GAAP and statutory reporting requirements through enabling process improvements and documentation of processes and SOP to meet internal control and reporting requirements. You will also be driving automation, standardization and simplification in processes to continuously improve end to end processes and maintaining strong internal controls governance.

WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification, preferably with CPA or equivalent professional qualification
- Knowledge of US GAAP, local GAAP and SOX required
- Min. 4 years of accounting experiences, with at least 3 years of hands-on inventory experiences in SAP FI/CO and MM modules.
- Hands-on experiences with SAP S4/HANA.
- Demonstrated SAP S4/HANA implementation experiences that cut across go-live readiness, implementation, stabilization, and transition to operations.
- Ability to translate business requirements into operationalization with considerations for financial risks and controls across end-to-end processes.
- Related experience gained with MNCs in consumer products or manufacturing is highly preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Outlook with ability to deploy them effectively for analysis reporting, presentation and process-flow improvement
- Good documentation skills with proficiency in Powerpoint and Visio.
- Advanced Excel, Robotic process automation (RPA) and Alteryx knowledge will be added advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively and partner cross functionally with multi-cultural stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with ability to bring across complex concepts succinctly to broad and diverse stakeholders
