The psychologist for the WNY HCS provides outpatient assessment and triage as well as individual, group, and family psychotherapy for acute and chronic mental health problems as an integrated member of the Primary Care Team. The psychologist applies advanced professional psychological diagnostic methods and evidence-based intervention strategies to a full range of patient problems in their work setting. The incumbent has advanced knowledge of psychological diagnosis, intervention, and behavioral health that qualifies them to provide advice and consultation to professionals representing a variety of disciplines. In addition to assigned clinical activities, the psychologist may: participate with managers in program development activities; participate in supervision and instruction of Psychology trainees; engage in clinical research; and, participate in facility, network or national VA committees, with the support of managers for these professional activities. 1. Provides a full range of psychological assessment services and diagnoses mental disorders, particularly for complex or unusually difficult patients, including selection, administration, and interpretation of psychological assessment instruments in accord with presenting clinical concerns.

3. Participates as a non-voting member of the medical staff, in accord with medical staff by-laws.
4. Participates in support of Mental Health and Psychology administrative and performance improvement activities, e.g., by taking on assigned projects and serving on committees.
5. Completes required clinical and administrative documentation in a timely manner and in accord with governing regulations.
6. If involved in supervision of Psychology trainees, participates in and supports administrative management of the Psychology Training Program.

Teaching and Training:

1. May supervise psychology predoctoral interns, practicum students, and/or post-doctoral fellows in accordance with training program policies and accrediting agency requirements.
2. Provides staff and student didactic training and consultation as requested in content areas of scholarly and/or clinical expertise.
3. May supervise or train allied health providers in accord with facility and regulatory standards regarding such training.
4. Participates fully in educational development through staff and section meetings.
5. Assumes responsibility for professional development by attending relevant training and regularly reviewing the literature to improve clinical competencies.

• Conduct patient observations pre/post dialysis (blood pressure, weight). Prepare patients for dialysis programme machines and connect patients to commence treatment as directed by qualified personnel.

• Follow dialysis, complete discontinuation procedures including wash back and removal of needles.
• Assisting registered nurses in providing comprehensive dialysis treatment.

• Escorting patients to and from the clinical area.

If you are a newly qualified Dietitian in your first year of practice, we have a Preceptorship programme to help support development of your skills and confidence as an autonomous practitioner.

You will have the opportunity to work with many experienced Dietitians, as well as within broader multi-professional teams. You will mainly be working within York Hospital, however there will also be the opportunity to work cross-site when required, including at Scarborough Hospital.

The department places a strong emphasis on clinical and peer support and clinical supervision, and has a well-established programme facilitating the training of dietetic students on the three clinical placements included within their training. We are also involved in delivering a variety of rolling training programmes for other healthcare professionals across the Trust, relating to nutritional care. The successful candidate will be involved in these important aspects of supporting the learning and development of others.

Beauty Merchandiser – Flexible

Updating and re-sequencing make up stands in major high street retailers, working with leading brands such as L’Oréal Paris, Nyx Professional Make Up, Max Factor, Rimmel and Maybelline.

Momentum Instore have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Beauty Merchandiser on a flexible basis, working 8-hour days Monday to Friday as and when we have projects (2025).

We have a busy 6 weeks from the start of January 2025 (schedules of work to be given in December) and are looking for key people in your location. Paid training days will take place in December and paid before Christmas.

Work throughout 2025 on a project-by-project basis.

Role and Responsibilities


Visiting retailers and using detailed planograms to update the stand (attention to detail)
Moving and installing new parts around and resequencing stock according to a new planogram
Changing over the visuals/graphics
Maintaining the stand, keeping it looking fresh for customers that visit the store
Travelling to your depot* for kit collection, which is paid time.


What will I get in return?


Training: Provided in full and you are paid – This will be in December and paid before Christmas
Work: Assignment basis, under own supervision



Travel: Regionally, 50 to 80 miles of your home
Location: Field Based – working in various high street retailers
Hours: 8 hr days
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour plus expenses (fuel/parking etc.)
Equipment: Uniform, Company van (for business use only), and PPE are all provided where applicable
Flexibility: Work when you are available on a variety of projects
