Budget and Fiscal Management
The incumbent is responsible for all fiscal activities for the HCCs and CBOCs located in the South Hampton Roads area. This requires a thorough understanding of the Government and Department of Veterans Affairs financial system and process, and an in-depth knowledge of the budget. Knowledge of operations of Fiscal Service, the distribution, control, adjustment of funds in various control points, is required to operate within provided allocated funds. Personnel Management

The position works closely with the Human Resources Officer, senior leaders and all Service Chiefs, in ensuring the appropriateness of personnel actions. Accounting Support - 40%
Incumbent monitors and controls by timely recording, coding, balancing, and scrutinizing for inaccurate accounts. Incumbent monitors accounting systems to track, reconcile and report on agency operation and maintenance funding and/or appropriations for which the agency has legislative oversight responsibility. This position is located in the Operations Section of a Base Communications Unit, Mission Support Group, in an Air National Guard Wing. This is an Air National Guard (ANG) Dual Status Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification. This position is responsible for providing voice, data, wireless, Communications Focal Point (CFP) and information security services provided to the Wing, supported Geographically Separated Units, and Tenants. Prepares such working drawings as required to enable personnel engaged in construction projects to proceed with their work.

Furnishes additional instructions as requested by employees and inmates about work steps and assists journeyman mechanics in the interpretation of blueprints when necessary.

Collects construction data and samples for testing and analysis.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
