Service Care Solutions have an exciting opportunity for a Van Mechanic to join a Local Authority client we are working with based in the Redditch and Bromsgrove area of the West Midlands.

In this role of Van Mechanic, your core role will be to carry out the maintenance of the councils fleet of tipper vehicles, including third party and plant maintenance processes ensuring this is carried out effectively to meet the services obligations, in a timely and cost effective manner.

Core duties will include:

• Inspect, repair and service the Council's wide range of vehicles, small plant and agricultural equipment including Refuse collection vehicles, sweepers, tippers, mowing equipment, small tractors, chainsaws, hedge cutters, strimmers, blowers.
• Carry out MOT tests and retests on class 4, 5 and 7 vehicles
• Carry out taxi tests to the standards set by both Bromsgrove and Redditch Councils.
• Navigate around Bromsgrove and Redditch districts and attend breakdowns and undertake necessary repairs or facilitate the vehicles recovery back to the depot. Therefore knowledge of Health and Safety procedures is essential.
• Be prepared to work a split shift arrangement if required to meet the needs of the service.
• Be prepared to work from either of our two workshops if required to meet the needs of the service.
• Cover periods of leave and sickness within the workshop also work bank holidays when the front line operational staff are working.
• Be prepared to be available in order to provide cover during periods of emergency works, winter maintenance and special events as required.
• To work flexibly to cover the needs of the service, working 37 hours per week, between 6:30am - 6pm Mon - Fri.
• To train staff to carry out minor repairs and basic maintenance of plant and machinery and to monitor that the work is carried out to the necessary standards

About you:
We are seeking a candidate who has previous experience in Fleet Mechanics.

You will be a self starter who is able to work alone and as part of a team and be able to cover the below;

• Experience of performing MIG welding; gas welding and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagnosis, repair & maintenance.
• Understand and be able to work to Ministry of Transport Vehicle Inspectorate Standards
• Experience of performing repairs to small plant, mowers, cutters, drills, agricultural equipment, tractors and other such equipment
• Ability to plan and prioritise service workload

To perform all duties required to provide safe operation of medical devices and decontamination equipment throughout their life cycle, this will include; pre-purchase assessment/evaluation, commissioning, planned preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, calibration checks, regulatory testing and decommissioning as required and consistent with the post grade. All procedures are to be conducted within the departments quality procedures. Dimensions The post-holder will work under the supervision of senior graded staff as required. The post has no budgetary responsibility. There is a shared responsibility to maintain all items of medical equipment varying in complexity from simple battery operated equipment to advanced life support systems appropriate to this posts grade. The post-holders working base will mainly be mobile within the hospital site and significantly Ward based. The post-holder will be expected to travel between Trust sites and other clients as and when required. The post-holder will participate in a 24hour on-call rota as required with supervision from senior graded staff. Key Relationships Internal: Nursing and Medical staff (all grades) in all clinical areas, other healthcare professionals, department managers and staff, patients, relatives, Estates and facilities staff (all grades). External: GP surgeries, other hospitals, manufacturers and representatives, Medical Healthcare products Regulatory Authority, Patients and relatives. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
To become a High Skills Coordinator in our Specialist Learning Support department, we need someone who is patient, motivated and supportive.
The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities.

Our departments collaborate to establish and uphold the inclusive HoW culture, we keep this in mind as we manage interactions with the public, fellow employees, and nearby schools.
Although location for this position is flexible (Worcester, Bromsgrove or Redditch), all applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

In summary, as someone who has experience in developing and delivering programmes or support towards identified outcomes or objectives., you will support in many aspects. To name a few:
Coordinate the college’s responsibilities during the statutory assessment process, with a view to ensuring that students with a high level of need have the appropriate support identified in their EHC plan, with associated costs.
Provide support and liaise with students with a high need and parents to ensure the review process captures relevant feedback
To lead in negotiations regarding appropriate funding bands and identified support needs required from the local authority.
To promote at all times the employment, further education or independence outcomes for students at the college with a SEN, and to support high expectations.
To ensure that information required for statutory assessments is completed to a high standard and forwarded to the Local Authority (s) as required.

Class 2 Driver Immediate start - Days

Pure Staff have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified HGV Class 2 Driver in Redditch!

Pure Staff specialise in the recruitment of HGV drivers for the logistics distribution and supply chain industry and have clients based all over England, Wales and Scotland. We offer drivers work that suits their needs, suitability, and personal lives.

we are looking for day drivers who can meet the below specifications:

Job Specifications:

• Multidrop (3-12 drops) of palletised goods
• Average shift is 10-12 hours
• use of a pump truck
• Daily Vehicle checks.
• A professional manner when dealing with the end customer.
• Ability to complete an assessment prior to work starting.
• Always Wearing the correct PPE whilst working (safety Boots and Hi-Vis).

The ideal candidate:

• HGV Class 2 Licence
• 6 Months Class 2 experience is essential for this role
• a Valid Digital tacho card.
• a Valid CPC.
• Clean Driving Licence with no more than 6 points (No TT TS MS DR DD codes)

Start times can vary but we are looking for Class 2 drivers who can start between 05:00 - 08:00

Class 2 Driver Pay Rate:

Days Monday to Friday £15 Per Hour

Candidates of Pure Staff do not pay weekly Umbrella Margins and/or or Payroll Processing Fees.

Please note, the above rate quoted does not include holiday pay as holiday pay is paid separately when you book annual leave.
