Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent (40 hrs) however will consider part time hours

Nursery Practitioner main responsibilities include*:
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
- Observe, support and extend children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with the highest quality and relevance
- Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
- Report any child safeguarding or protection matters, including allegations and serious accidents/injuries to management
- Ensure daily that all resources, equipment and environments are safe and suited for children’s age and stage
- Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Communicate with impartiality and consistency respecting parent/carers’ expectations and seek guidance from management if in doubt
- Treat all personal and sensitive information relating to staff, children, families, visitors, nursery or the company with utmost integrity and confidentiality

Nursery Practitioner requirements and skills:
- Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification - essential
- Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
- Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
- Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
