To be responsible for all electrical and instrumentation equipment’s, troubleshoot and give solution to all the electrical & electronic related technical problems in the plant. Provide availability of plant 24/7 for shipment receiving, loading/unloading, packing plant, mixing plant and production activities.
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Perform electrical work, preventive maintenance and repairs on all the plant/facilities/industrial related equipment’s
• Read and work from blueprints and drawings in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plant electrical equipment with or without supervision
• Install, adjust and maintain all electrical equipment, gauges and instruments
• Troubleshoot, evaluate and coordinate electrical needs, repairs and modifications
• Ensure that manufacturer’s standards of repair and maintenance are performed on all equipment
• Repair and troubleshoot circuits, wiring, motors, starters, controllers, pneumatic valves, sensors, mixing plant and etc.
• Clean, lubricate and paint all the M&E equipment’s and keep all work areas safe, clean and orderly
• Evaluate and coordinate electrical needs, repairs and modifications
• Assist and perform emergency repairs throughout the plant
• Inspect equipment, report malfunctioning, including electrical equipment and carry out required repairs as needed
• Perform all the PM checklist and keep the maintenance records
• Prevent damage to machinery and equipment to determine what repairs are needed
• Be able to inspect mechanical equipment to determine what repairs are needed
• Be in-charge of electrical and instrumentation department, Issue Lock-out (LOTO) / work permit to other internal departments during maintenance and breakdown activities
• Plan and maintain required / most urgent spare parts at all times to minimize plant downtime
• Conduct risk assessment, to uphold and to adhere to all workplace safety regulations
• Calibrate testing instruments and install or repair equipment to prescribed specifications.
• Perform routine and emergency electrical tasks including, but not limited to, diagnosis of motor and electrical equipment faults, wiring issues, equipment replacement, etc.
• Team player to be able to work across departments and terminals
• Be able to direct personnel under him in executing an assigned task
• To have knowledge on electrical controls and instrumentation. Experience in PLC system is an added advantage
• Perform all other job responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate/NiTEC in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent;
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of machinery repair experience;
- Physical fit and flexible to work on extra hour when required.
- PLC knowledge, Knowledge of electrical wiring diagram, LEW license (added advantage)
