Job Purpose
We are looking for someone who can provide additional support to the team .Someone who can communicate the benefits of your recommendations across departments and help to address any uncertainty and concern .Help the team analysing large datasets, draw valid inferences and present them successfully to management using a reporting tool .Additional responsibilities include :-
- Accountable for designing and implementing comprehensive awareness programs, developing and conducting training sessions, and collaborating with various departments across OT & IT to ensure a strong security culture.
- Accountable for staying abreast of emerging threats, analyse user behaviour, and tailor educational initiatives to address specific risks.
- Accountable for measuring the effectiveness of awareness campaigns and continuously adapt strategies to mitigate evolving cybersecurity challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate the individual awareness campaigns from CSOC, Risk Management, SHES and Insider Threat Mitigation into a coherent whole utilising internal communications platforms and the already established “Safe+Well” framework which currently engages the OT side of the organisation.
- Manage Vendors and Tools
- Oversee any external vendors or tools related to cybersecurity awareness and training, ensuring they meet organisational needs and compliance standards.
- Training Program Development
- Create or acquire engaging training materials, including online courses, workshops, simulations, and hands-on activities that address key security risks across the IT and OT (Operational Technology) domains (e.g., phishing, malware, social engineering, etc.).
- Customisation for Different Audiences
- Tailor training programs to meet the needs of different audiences, from general employees to technical teams across IT and the OT (Operational Technology) domains.
- Training Delivery - Deliver high-quality, engaging, and interactive training sessions in both virtual and in-person environments. Use a variety of instructional techniques and formats to accommodate different learning styles and levels of technical knowledge.
- Synchronise security training and awareness with Cadents comprehensive security protocols and mandatory training initiatives.
- To create a project charter identifying essential elements such as scope, goals, objectives, assumptions, and constraints.
- Create an advisory board, a team of people that can help security awareness professionals plan and maintain the program.
Skills and Experience
- A bachelor's or master's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field, with a focus on awareness and training delivery initiatives.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) can enhance credibility.
- A deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and best practices, along with awareness of industry trends and compliance requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex cybersecurity concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience in designing and delivering cybersecurity training programs, including e-learning modules and workshops.
- Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
- Proficiency in assessing the effectiveness of awareness programs, analysing metrics, and making data-driven improvements.
- The capability to adapt to evolving cybersecurity threats and technologies, ensuring that awareness programs remain relevant and up to date.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to plan, execute, and evaluate cybersecurity awareness initiatives effectively.
- These qualifications collectively contribute to the Cybersecurity Awareness Lead's ability to develop, implement, and manage a robust awareness program within an organization.
