If selected for this position, you will serve as the principal advisor to the Special Agent in-Charge and be responsible for directing and supervising a staff of criminal investigators in the accomplishment of investigative activities aimed at uncovering suspected fraud, abuse, and mismanagement in programs of the DOT as well as a variety of proactive investigations.  In addition, you will be responsible for providing professional leadership and technical and administrative supervision to subordinate employees.  You will establish and maintain liaison with officials within DOT and other federal departments; determine the scope and depth of investigations; review reports of investigations; and represent the agency in meetings.  Investigations require frequent travel and may occasionally require undercover surveillance work.

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.

• Uses weight-handling equipment including fork-lifts and pallet jacks and moves forms, supplies, equipment and finished mail to and from a warehouse or staging area.
• Delivers positions and stacks boxes, trays, and pallets of materials safely and effectively in storage and work areas.
• Operates packaging equipment such as banding, shrink wrap machines, straps, and wraps packages, mail trays, and pallets for shipment.
• Loads stock in staging areas and inserts equipment according to established procedures.
• Assembles mail trays onto pallets for shipment according to established procedures.
• Cleans office and light industrial space, equipment, machinery and floors as directed.

Receives visitors, determines the nature of the requests, personally providing the information desired when it is of a routine or procedural matter, before referring them to the Associate Warden.

Maintains supervisor’s calendar, takes request for appointments with supervisor and staff.

Serves as a liaison to the Associate Warden, personally processing requests.

Responsible for the preparation in draft and/or final form of material such as memoranda, letters, reports, requests, etc., as assigned.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.

• As Branch Chief, plans, organizes, oversees and directs the activities of MAF C2 Requirements Branch, ensuring that Branch complies with legal and regulatory requirements, established defense department and service guidance and meets customer needs.
• Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
• Represents HQ AMC to HQ USAF, USTRANSCOM and other AF MAJCOMs.
• Applying Air Force military rated aviator experience, analyzes, develops, and evaluates detailed plans, goals, and objectives for modernization and requirements management of assigned major command programs.
• Prepares and delivers oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with other staff service functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey information relative to proposed changes in assigned programs.

• Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the 618 Air and Operations Center's International Flight Plans and Airspace Branch (XOCZF).
• Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
• Represents HQ Air Mobility Command, 18th Air Force, 618 Air and Space Operations Center Command and Control Directorate, International Flight Plans and Airspace Branch with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
• Communicates face to face, verbally, and/or in writing with worldwide SES or higher level Air Traffic Control (ATC) agencies, various MAJCOM agencies, and other key personnel within AMC's area of responsibility in order to secure preferred routing for AMC aircraft.
• Serve as Air Mobility Command Focal Point for the Flight Plan and Airspace Function.
