Blackpool Coastal Housing manages almost 5,000 social housing properties across Blackpool, providing related services to its tenant and leasehold customers and regenerating areas to create opportunities for our local residents to thrive.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our Asset Management and Operation team as a Maintenance Operative and you might be exactly who were looking for!

The role is to predominantly work in Supported Housing properties undertaking minor repairs, handyperson tasks and painting and decorating works to tenanted and void properties, as well as communal areas.
You must possess a trade City and Guilds qualification, or NVQ Equivalent and have experience working in a building/maintenance position where you have carried out basic DIY skills and minor repairs.
You must ensure that Health and Safety legislation, Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments are always abided by, wearing the relevant PPE at all times and where specific to the task being undertaken.

You must be able to organise your own time and work to deadlines and have the initiative to prioritise your own workload to meet the demands of the service.
You must have the ability to communicate well with customers and colleagues and be able to work with minimum supervision.

You will be required to maintain administrative records of repairs and completed works so that IT systems can be updated.

We are looking to recruit an appropriately skilled and innovative Primary Mental Health Worker to join a multi-disciplinary team in the development and delivery of Thrive - identifying mental health difficulties at the earliest stage and facilitating the provision of services that promote resilience and enable positive mental health.


Working within the Getting Advice Quadrant 1 of the Thrive Model, in response to the mental health needs of our children and young people, our Primary Mental Health Workers offer advice, guidance, signposting and training to community partners, as well as consultation and short term 1:1 or group intervention for children and young people on a needs-led basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered and experienced professional, from a range of backgrounds (nursing, OT, social work) to utilise their skills and experience in working with children, young people and their families. The ideal candidates will have post-qualification experience with an understanding of mental health difficulties as children develop, as well as the ability to work with children, young people and their families, and colleagues from a wide range of professions and organisations. You will be competent to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will be able to advise on, navigate and develop pathways to ensure our children and young people’s mental health needs are met at the earliest stage.
