Your new role
As the new Project Lead, you'll be responsible for liaising with the client on all aspects of the project, working alongside the client to understand their goals and aspirations. You will also be responsible for monitoring the successful delivery of the project, with financial performance and client satisfaction. In addition to the above, you will ensure compliance, aid coordination between members of the design team and appoint specialists and conduct project presentations.


What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will have a diverse range of skills and experience, from building surveying, engineering, architecture, or design management, and would be interested in developing your career in a transformative direction. Preferably, you will be based in Cambridgeshire or London with a track record of project management and delivery of varying scales. You will be passionate about working together with clients and demonstrate a proactive and solution-based approach. It is likely you will be degree qualified, or equivalent, in a relevant industry discipline.

What you will do:

You will be expected to:

• Take a leadership role and drive statistical thinking in cross-functional team projects, within an international environment
• Contribute to strategic planning and quantitative decision making in early clinical development programmes
• Lead the delivery and oversight on drug project(s) and/or studies to time, quality and standards, including partnering with CROs and with Programming
• Participate in applying, adapting and/or developing statistical methodology
• Contribute to development of new procedures and standards to increase quality, efficiency, and effectiveness
  

Depending on your experience, the role may also include:

• Interactions to influence key stakeholders and governance
• Acting as a technical expert in interactions with external providers and collaborators
• Mentoring and coaching junior staff and supporting them with education and training in statistics
• Working with regulatory agencies, e.g. attending meetings, answering questions

Essential in the role:

• MSc/PhD in Statistics or Mathematics (containing a substantial statistical component) with experience in pharma/healthcare or other relevant area
• Knowledge of the technical and regulatory requirements related to the role
• Leadership capabilities to be able to lead and direct project work
• Experience of data analysis and interpretation in a relevant area
• Strong knowledge of programming in R and/or SAS
• Excellent written and spoken English. Excellent communication skills (including communicating with non-statisticians) and ability to build strong relationships
• Excellent collaboration skills required - the energy to work across global & functional boundaries, both internally and externally
• Ability to apply statistical expertise to complex problems, problem solving and quality focus

Desirable in the role, dependent on experience:

• Experience of programme and study design
• Experience in the relevant therapeutic area
• Experience of regulatory interactions

Reporting to the Deputy Operational Manager, you will have key responsibilities for providing a high quality service and the operational day to day running of the admin and clerical support services within the department. You will work as part of a team to deliver the best service for our patients.

This is a diverse role and you will be involved in the delivery of all KPI’s associated with Emergency Care, line management responsibilities, data collections, the financial management of budgets, leading on specific areas of work and emergency demand and capacity management.

The post offers an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified individual, with a track record of delivering on performance and quality, who has excellent planning skills and who embraces the opportunity for change.

You will need to have excellent collaborative working skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clinical leaders and professional staff groups.

You will be responsible for managing limited and defined service areas within the Directorate, but the primary focus will be the management and delivery of key targets across agreed Directorate specialties.

You will ensure that timely, relevant and accurate business, performance & clinical information is available to support business and performance management and audit requirements. Also to produce, regular reports with set deadlines working to a high level of accuracy and with the ability to interpret and analyse a variety of data.

You will contribute to annual planning processes for their service areas. You will also support the planning, development and implementation of service improvement, capital and other projects for the areas they are responsible for.

Provide cross cover across the Directorate as required.
