We are on the lookout for a dynamic and results-oriented Pricing Director to take our pricing and packaging strategy to the next level and drive business growth here at Civica.

In this pivotal role, you will partner with senior leaders across our verticals, including Executive leaders, Sales leaders, and their teams, to develop innovative pricing and packaging solutions. As Pricing Director, you’ll oversee the full spectrum of pricing and packaging responsibilities. You’ll be particularly focused on navigating complex scenarios where pricing models, metrics, and contracting approaches differ between products within the same markets.

You’ll also drive M&A integration, capturing pricing synergies, and play a crucial role in implementing deal desk capabilities for larger opportunities. This may include supporting customer negotiations alongside sales teams to ensure success. In addition, you’ll lead the transition from Excel-based pricing tools to a SaaS-based CPQ system, improving efficiency and scalability for the business.

Another key responsibility will be designing and delivering pricing training and enablement programs to ensure the teams have the necessary skills to execute on your strategies. You will also oversee governance, target setting, and performance monitoring to ensure alignment with business objectives. As part of your leadership role, you’ll be responsible for developing and leading a high-performing team, driving continuous improvement in pricing and packaging execution across Civica.

What you will need to be successful in this role

• Experience in Pricing strategy and execution together with proposition & packaging strategy expertise, ideally in a software context

Group Managing Director Responsibilities

• Own the long-range, annual and quarterly financial and non-financial goals
• Develop and communicate a clear vision of goals and objectives, strategies, philosophies about growth, revenue generation and profitability, customer care agenda.
• Be hands-on in day-to-day operations including sales performance, sales opportunity management, forecasting, R&D capacity management, services resourcing, customer support, and customer project delivery

Sales

• Drive revenue growth, working with the sales team to identify new opportunities and execute growth strategies including cross/upsell and entering adjacent markets
• Develop and implement best in class sales operations and sales infrastructure to enable effective scale and ensure process discipline
• Develop and maintain competitive intelligence programs, generating industry trend reports to inform new feature and product development
• Improve use of Salesforce and other internal tools to increase forecasting capability, implement targets, and provide actionable insights to executive team and board of directors
• Create and implement KPIs for sales team to measure performance and productivity; develop performance dashboards and establish reporting process
• Work with sales leaders in establishing quotas, budgets, compensation plans and pricing optimization
• Manage key relationships with large accounts

Customer Care/Customer Success

• Execute an effective, long-term customer success program for clients
• Implement and maintain client support initiatives
• Facilitate both in-house and client training sessions
• Monitor and document Customer Success metrics, including program usage, satisfaction levels, ticket throughput, and resolution
• Coordinate the administration of annual customer satisfaction surveys and other communication tools

Research And Development

• Ensure clear product roadmaps are established, followed, and adapted to meet market needs
• Balance investment in R&D with maintenance efforts to maximize new customer growth and retain existing clients while maintaining efficient Customer Care and R&D operations
• Track Product Manager prioritization of R&D tasks, ensuring they are entered into the corporate system and executed by software developers
• Facilitate the growth of Product Managers by aligning their activities with job descriptions

Financial Management

Review with Senior Management and the team:

• Advance performance by driving improvements in revenue, profit, customer retention, loss prevention, and expense ratios
• Annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue results/forecasts and costs
• Participate in the development of internal department policies and programs to support quality and growth
• Drive P&L, ROI, EBITDA and ARR/ IRR performance of businesses and ensure companies are meeting organizational objectives

About You

• Prior experience in managing a B2B software company
• A natural ability to lead performance and financial health in a business
• Bring a proven entrepreneurial spirit and pace-setter traits
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in a technical or business discipline, MBA, or advanced degree, a plus
• 10+ years of direct cross-functional team management experience and P&L management
• Broad financial acumen across the organization (e.g., managing a P&L, understanding financial documents, business intelligence, FP&A processes, etc.)
• History of developing and implementing successful strategies for net new customer acquisition and market penetration
• Ability to structure, analyze, and solve complex business problems, as well as deliver impact against concrete business goals
• Excellent Leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• A 'roll up the sleeves' attitude towards problem-solving
• Goal-oriented with comfort in setting measurable goals for others and him/herself
• Ability and willingness to create change, passion for continuous improvement
• 30% travel required for internal and customer meetings

The Role

As our Director of Privacy and Assurance, based in Australia but with a global outlook, you’ll bring the following skills and experience: 

• Detailed understanding of Australian general privacy principles, concepts and frameworks (Federal and State). 
• Ability to upskill on international privacy regimes (e.g. GDPR).
• Issue identification - ability to conduct risk assessments and convert these into actionable plans.
• Experience in compliance programmes and projects, including working across processes, policies and products.
• Ability to communicate complex issues clearly, to non-legal stakeholders, including confidently presenting those issues to senior management.
• Understanding and experience of engaging with public sector and external stakeholders concerning data and privacy.

Practically, this will involve: 

The Privacy and Assurance Lead will be responsible for ensuring Auror remains at the forefront of best practice concerning data and privacy practices, in primarily three ways:

• Internal - working across product and policy teams to ensure external best practice in privacy and data protection is both championed internally and is reflected in product and policies through effective project management. This will also include building capacity on Australiana and international privacy regimes and emerging issues/trends.
• External - Ensuring Auror is up to date on and engaging in relevant international privacy and data protection regimes. This includes supporting internal stakeholders for relevant external engagements (customer, regulator, industry), recommending industry associations and engagement opportunities.
• Hybrid - Shaping the internal and external elements of privacy best practice and product development into tangible materials and outward facing collateral to develop assurance assets.

• You’ll have experience with privacy laws and frameworks, understanding key concepts and obligations, and taking that knowledge into programmatic and pragmatic solutions in a complex organisation.
• You’ll be able to conduct risk assessments and make recommendations on how to keep our products, processes and policies up to date - but also still nimble - in order to provide internal and external assurance while supporting a high growth operation.

The Associate Director – Go To Market (GTM) Strategy and Planning is responsible for managing and orchestrating a GTM approach to Datacom’s portfolio of services and products, driving lead generation and customer acquisition. The role will lead Datacom’s GTM Group strategy and planning across Australia and New Zealand.

• Provide leadership and and orchestrate a GTM approach to Datacom’s portfolio of services and products, driving lead generation and growth.  
• Establish an aligned approach to GTM in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, Partner Management, Proposition and Market Strategy teams.  

• Lead the day-to-day GTM Hub strategy across Markets and Lines of Business relating to GTM operations and governance, ensuring that planning and orchestration of a GTM strategy is delivered.
