Overview & Scope:
Service Care Solutions is assisting North Yorkshire Police in recruiting an Programme Manager to lead the York City Command Review Programme. This role presents an exciting opportunity to influence the future footprint and iconic presence of North Yorkshire Police in the City of York.
The Programme Manager will oversee a comprehensive review of City Command's policing needs, focusing particularly on improvements at Fulford Road Police Station.

Scope of the Review:

• Assess current and future policing needs within City Command.
• Evaluate operational requirements, including personnel, vehicles, and facilities, considering future demand.
• Review specialist operational provisions.
• Analyse the condition and suitability of Fulford Road Police Station and other buildings within the City Command footprint.
• Develop a cost-benefit analysis for potential investment scenarios, including:
• Significant refurbishment of Fulford Road Station.
• Rebuild on the existing footprint.
• Rebuild at an alternative location(s).

Background:
Fulford Road Police Station, a critical part of the City Command infrastructure, is no longer fit for purpose and requires substantial investment. The Executive Board commissioned a feasibility report in October 2020 to explore potential building options, aiming to inform the Police, Fire, and Crime Commissioner (PFCC) for North Yorkshire and assist in developing an Outline Business Case. Options include:

1. Development of Existing Sites: Improving and upgrading existing police estate sites.
2. Consolidation in a New Build Development: Constructing a new facility to replace existing infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead a complex programme to review the York City Command estate, including Fulford Road, identifying options to maximise operational delivery and deployment.
• Assess current and future needs, focusing on infrastructure upgrades at Fulford Road Police Station.
• Evaluate current and future policing needs, operational requirements, and building assets.
• Recommend the best use of the York estate, including significant investment, relocation, or alternative solutions.

Essential Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in delivering large-scale programmes with significant estates and infrastructure implications.
• Expertise in needs assessment, resource allocation, and large-scale building refurbishments or new builds.
• Experience developing solutions that meet legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Strong collaboration and engagement skills with operational and support staff.
• Experience in writing and presenting comprehensive reports to senior stakeholders.
• Significant stakeholder management experience.
• MSP/Prince2 or equivalent Programme Management qualification.
• Construction qualifications and/or experience managing complex construction programmes.

Our client is looking to find an experienced Home Care Services Team Leader, for an immediate start in York.

This is a temporary role, running for 3-6 months and the rate of pay is £15.15 per hour.

This includes 30 hours a week on a rota, Monday to Friday between 7am and 10pm, with 1 in 5 weekend work required and on call overnight to provide managerial support.

We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic practitioner with the appropriate clinical and scrub experience to lead our colorectal surgery theatres.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a keen interest in improving and developing their leadership skills to enable management of staff, be an effective role model demonstrating high levels of clinical competence & expertise by leading by example.

You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience at Band 5 in Theatres and have experience scrubbing for colorectal procedures. This role requires extensive scrub experience and service/ time management skills to coordinate the equipment needed for each, maintain specialist surgical equipment and attend planning meeting related to the colorectal. An eye for detail is essential. You should be able to demonstrate involvement in service improvement with some evidence of change management.

Our service is expanding rapidly, you will need to be adaptive and willing to cover the shift pattern required to run the service and have the capacity to go the extra mile. We currently cover elective surgery Monday to Friday with various shift patters between 08.00 and 20.00 over 4 days. You will be expected to exhibit knowledge of how we work towards our Trust's vision and be a real team player.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Train Crew Diagram Manager to join our Strategic Development team at Northern. In this crucial role, you’ll be instrumental in developing and delivering resource plans that ensure efficient and effective train services across the North of England.



As the Train Crew Diagram Manager, you’ll be responsible for the production of all traincrew diagrams for all Northern services, in order to support a robust and economic resource plan. In this role, you’ll also assist with staff consultation of links and rosters, as well as the production of road vehicle transport plans. You will also be involved in the daily review of operational incidents and any rectifications that may be required from a train planning perspective.



Whilst acting as an Interface with the Depot Management teams and Resource Planning Teams, you’ll ensure the efficient completion and implementation of diagrams to agreed timescales. This role will also require you to look at ways to reduce road transport journeys by staff car or taxi to enhance Northern’s performance and create cost efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities



This is a varied and challenging role, but here is a taste of what your day-to-day activities could include:

Produce and develop of WTT Train Crew & Special Traffic Train Crew diagrams within laid down safety criteria and deadlines.
Assist with the preparation of documents for staff consultation for WTT alterations and schemes, including participation in consultation with Staff Representatives.
Evaluate and assess implications of diagram changes at pre-planning stage for changed specifications and Traincrew agreements.
Collaborate with the Depot Management Teams and Resource Planning Team to ensure delivery of diagrams to agreed diagrams.
Produce and deliver Schedule Cards from the Voyager plan system for short term and long term diagrams, distributing to depot management teams and other areas of the organisation.
Produce the road transport vehicle plan – implementing procedures to enhance Northern’s performance and create cost efficiencies.
Consistently manage and assess diagrams, to ensure adequate time built into the process to deliver peaks and troughs in the workload.
Investigate and review of operational incidents and their rectification as necessary. Sharing outputs of investigations with the Performance team and any relevant departments.

You will join a national study team being established across the UK and will play a key role managing the study at NHS sites in England. This is an opportunity to get involved at the outset, inputting into the study set up and approval stages and subsequently delivering this ground-breaking trial over the next 3 years.

The post holder will additionally be responsible for the day-to-day management of other research projects, studies and trials at the Trust as required. The post may therefore be varied, with opportunities for oversight of several concurrent research studies across a potentially clinically diverse field. • In association with research teams, to actively manage project specific activities, ensuring milestones and recruitment targets are met, delivering projects on time and within budget.
• To co-ordinate various management, steering group and project-specific team meetings to ensure appropriate progress against objectives is maintained.
• To act as a conduit for the project across the other relevant support departments including, but not limited to, sponsor, finance, funder, pharmacy, laboratory and clinical teams.
• To maintain research databases such as EDGE/CPMS records and assist with the development of research reports.
