About the role
The Lab Pack Project Manager’s main function is to administer and monitor all aspects of projects from price quotation and bidding through to job completion.
Project Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred
- Previous Lab Packing Experience Required
- 5 - 7 Years experience in lab packing operations preferred
- 2-4 years supervisory experience required
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills as well as strong organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills which include Microsoft Office
The Project Manager Main Responsibilities:

- Develops and manages small and large scale lab pack projects
- Responsible for Business development of Lab Pack services for target clients
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Measures and tracks project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the successful execution of projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Ensure proper communication with East Coast Operations and monitor projects to ensure manpower, equipment and resources are available to complete projects effectively and efficiently
- Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Prepare documentation required for profiling and transportation of product or wastes
- Prepare proper job paperwork including job sheets and purchase orders when required.
- Seek out new projects, visit sites and prepare proposals for projects.
- Completes all required safety training, operational procedures training, RCRA training, equipment and machine training, and other training as provided and required by Circon
- Performs other job-related duties assigned.
Project Manager Conditions and Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk, see or hear
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- May work outdoors in a plant environment with exposure to chemicals, noise, dust, and all weather conditions.
- Enter confined spaces as required and in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
- Climb stairs and scaffolding and works at heights.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed and in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
