About the hiring company.

Our client is an established group of PLC listed on the main board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. They are currently seeking a ICSA professional to assume the role of Assistant Company Secretary within the corporate secretarial services and its subsidiaries. The role would suit an ICSA qualified individual with previous secretarial experience ideally working within a listed environment. Please note that despite the position title name 'Secretary',the role is absolutely not clearical or private secretarial function in nature.

Job Description

As Assistant Company Secretary within PLC, you will support the Senior Company Secretary in ensuring the delivery of a professional, effective, high quality corporate secretarial service to support the activities of the Board, Shareholders and Executive team.

Key elements of the role.

*Assist in preparing Directors' resolutions,minutes of the Board,Committee and shareholders meeting and announcements to Bursa Malaysia.

*Organize,coordinate and attend Board/Committee meetings and AGM/EGM.

*Ensure timely submission statutory forms,returns and notifications in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act, Bursa Malaysia Listing requirements.

*Assist the Company Secretary in handling all aspects of corporate secretarial and share registration services.

*Assist in the preparation of annual reports and circulars to shareholders and provide corporate secretarial support for corporate exercises.

Candidate skills & experience

*Malaysian female in age group 30-45.

*ICSA qualified graduate.

*5-8 years of work experience in corporate secretarial role with exposure to public listed environment.

*Well versed with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements,Companies Act, corporate governance codes and regulations and applicable companies legislation.

*Knowledge in share registration is an advantage.

*Good strong communication skills with good command of English, both spoken and written.

Independently conducts group guidance sessions of a varying nature. This counseling deals with institutional adjustment, U.S. Parole commission, release planning, and interpersonal communications, individual counseling sessions varying in methods and intensity relevant to the individual's problems. What you'll be doing;

• Drive, plan and manage daily operations of the maintenance department, servicing both the MRF and the MBT as well as to a lesser extent the Transfer Station, the Weighbridge and the HWRC. This includes driving the timely completion of PPM tasks, the delivery of appropriate corrective maintenance works and the optimised management of breakdowns (reactive maintenance).

• Maintain and develop a portfolio of reliable engineering contractors that bring value for money, covering all the equipment and asset maintenance needs across the plant.
  
• Lead on most of the significant asset improvement projects, improving operations and safety across the plant.
  
• Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders including: contractors, central Technical Direction, equipment and parts manufacturers, industry specialists, and many others.

Porticus is seeking a Programme Manager to support and monitor the development and management of strategic programmes within the Strengthening our Societies Sector (SoS) in Asia. The PM is responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships, as well as forging networks. Specific priority will lie under the People on the Move (PoTM) Challenge. The PM works closely with the Porticus Asia Regional Director, the Challenge Lead of PoTM, and the Porticus Asia team as well as colleagues in other offices. Regional and international travel will be required for this position (up to 30% of the working time).

Our People on the Move work focuses on Thailand and Malaysia as major destination countries for refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. Grant making under the People on the MOVE Challenge is delivered in the region through three global programmes: MOVE, Ignite and Immigration Detention.

The MOVE programme focuses primarily on collaborating with people with lived experience of migration as leaders and change-makers.

The Immigration Detention programme supports partners to reduce the use of arbitrary and inhumane detention through strategic promotion of alternatives.

The Igniting Workers Rights programme aims to ensure that migrant workers in a select number of regions have their labour and human rights respected, protected, and fulfilled, live in dignity and to their full potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with other regional Programme Managers in the Asia region and in the People on the Move teams as well as in coordination with the Challenge Lead to implement cross regional programmes, promote innovative and equitable grant-making practices and encourage learning.
• Coordinate with the Challenge Lead in identifying opportunities for strategy-aligned projects and programmes, coordinate with the Porticus Asia Regional Director to manage regional exploration grants in Asia and where possible contribute to aligned sectors with clear attention to the learning cycle within which these ideas are developing.
• Contribute to interregional engagement and collaboration by actively supporting Porticus as a learning organisation, by sharing knowledge, experiences across the matrix and sectors.

• Support in applying sophisticated safeguarding and inclusion lenses to programme development and management.
• Contribute to increased evidence and learning about current practices in raising the quality and effectiveness of our work by supporting programmatic research and analysis, programmatic evaluations and share results and learnings internally and externally. · Identify opportunities for innovative, data driven, contextualised programmatic strategies that contribute to field building, (pushing the thematic discourse further), nurturing networks (outside of grants, with funders, thought leaders, practitioners and other system stakeholders), creating platforms and drawing in lessons and learnings (beyond reporting).
• Contribute to the knowledge base of Porticus by regularly sharing insights and knowledge coming out of the programmatic work internally and externally.
