We are currently looking to add an Engineering Manager to help drive the Product Engineering DXP roadmap. We're seeking an energetic technical leader who is driven by building and leading high performing engineering teams.
We’re location-flexible! This role is open to all candidates on the east coast of Australia.
This role is hybrid, allowing you to work where and when works best for you.
For this role, we ask that you can demonstrate the following experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, equivalent professional experience in related fields
- 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar technical leadership role
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development building and maintain large-scale software products
- Proficiency in full-stack development, with expertise in web based languages and frameworks such as Node, TypeScript, React or similar, and cloud platforms such as AWS
- Experience with Agile or other iterative development methodologies. We use Scrum for most of the teams, with some using Kanban
- You have shown your ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and make decisions that align with business strategy
- Proven track record as a mentor and coach, who has developed teams by growing your people
Nice to have
- Previous experience working on DXP or CMS platforms, or experience integrating or using DXP/CMS platforms
- Experience or knowledge of ISO27001 / SOC1 / SOC2, or previous involvement in attaining and retaining security accreditation at an organisational level
What you would do (the role day to day):
- Work across 3-5 software engineering teams to help build our Digital Experience Platform. Each team consists of a Team Lead, and 3 or 4 software engineers at different levels - junior, mid and senior
- Provide regular feedback, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development of Team Leads and Software Engineers
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Drive best practices in software development, code quality, and architecture across our tech stack
