Nursery Assistant

Contract Type: Permanent Full Time (40 Hrs)

Lakehouse Nursery are looking for an unqualified nursery assistant to join their team.

Within this role you will be responsible for a designated group of children as a key person and will guide the children through the daily routine, liaise with parents and provide an enabling environment.

This role is working 40 hours per week, various shifts patterns between the opening and closing times of the nursery 7:30am-18:00pm. This nursery is open all year round and is not a term time only role. You will need to have childcare experience but formal qualifications are not required.

As Nursery Assistant, you will:

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
• Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff:child ratios
• Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
• Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
• Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
• Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development

• Specialized administrative judgment and the flexible use of a wide range of clinical flow processes relating to access to care across multiple clinics, specialties, and/or care in the community resources.
• Recommends changes to existing clinic procedures based on current administrative guidelines and has expertise in utilizing numerous advanced patient systems in support of multiple clinics involved in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model.

S/he will complete clinic scheduling by assisting with tracking of Return to Clinic Orders (RTC) orders, opening clinic slots, canceling/opening clinics and canceling/rescheduling patient appointments as needed for all Telehealth appointments while maintaining flexibility in adapting to changes in the schedule and workload.

Major Duties:
