We are seeking for a motivated and creative Apparel Design/Styling Intern to join our small but growing team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the creative field of new uniform development and assist in a variety of tasks that contribute to the exciting brand transformation journey.
Job Responsibilities
Uniform Refresh Projects
To provide support to the Creative Director in the execution and roll-out of the uniform changeover exercise.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Assists in the creation of design/ design revisions together with Apparel Designer.
- Assist in the planning and execution of presentations for new uniform designs.
- Provide support with conceptualization, styling, preparation for fashion photoshoots.
- Maintain and update physical and digital archives of all samples, fabrics, etc, relevant to the department.
- Other ad-hoc creative duties
- Styling & Band Experience Projects
- To provide support to the Creative Producer in the execution and roll out of styling for property events, photoshoots, and installations.
- This includes but not limited to:
- Assist in maintaining workflow between production team and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring timely deliverables.
- Sustain good relationships with models and collaborators, ensure their needs is taken care of on set.
- Provide administrative support, such as organizing schedules, coordinate fittings and handling communications with vendors.
- Prepare, steam and clean (when necessary) products in advance of shoot schedules
- Prepping of props for photoshoots
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
- Internship must contribute to school graduation requirements
- Preferably pursuing fashion apparel/experience design/design or marketing-related studies
Experience
- No experience required as training will be provided
Other Prerequisites
- Keen eye for fashion and latest trends
- Adaptable in fast paced and dynamic work environment
- Able to work with professionalism, responsiveness and flexibility under pressure
- Able to multi-task and organize multiple ongoing projects
- Proactive, hands-on attitude at work to contribute as part of a team
- A good understanding of MBS’s creative vision and our target audience
- Preferably a strong knowledge of fit and fabric, and its impact on women of different body shapes and size
