The Cancer Pathway Support Officer will be an integral part of a small Cancer Pathway team supporting the Cancer Pathway Coordinator to ensure high level MDT provision, including collation of relvant clinical information for meetings, inputting data direct from MDT meetings, distribution of MDT documentation to primary and secondary care as necessary. This role is developmental with the aim of the post holder being responsible for an allocated MDT Meeting once fully trained. The Cancer Pathway Support Officer will record summaries of discussions at MDT meetings, projected live to MDT members You will work alongside our Cancer Pathway Coordinators to ensure effective co-ordination of pathways for patients with suspected or diagnosed cancer and that information is recorded accurately for Cancer Waiting Time targets. A day in the life of a Murphy Design Engineer


- To design protection and control system according to project specific requirements for electrical substation up to a voltage of 400kV
- Prepare single line diagram and key line diagram of substation project.
- To prepare project specific electrical design for plants like circuit breaker, disconnector, earth switch etc. Design should be in line with generic drawing from OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer).
- To review protection and control drawing from OEM for overall system integration and provide interface details.
- To prepare electrical interlocking drawing as requirements in line client’s technical specification.
- To produce wiring/ termination diagram, low voltage cable schedule, cable block diagram, core sheets etc. as required for project delivery.
- Technical support during construction & commissioning including formal response to site technical queries, i.e., preparation of mods for design modification to rectify design error or any other reason that compels to amend the design to fulfil the functional requirements.
- To prepare technical specification of different P & C equipment for supplier’s quotation.
- Work closely with other sections of substation engineering design team to enable effective collaboration on multi-disciplinary projects and facilitate an optimal engineering function.
- Establish and promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters in conjunction with the SHQE department.
- Where required supervision of assistant engineers, junior engineers or CAD operators.

We have an immediate requirement for an experienced temporary Welder to work for our Manufacturing client based in the Darlington area on a temporary basis

You will be welding component parts to specific drawing specifications within a sheet metal manufacturing environment. You will work to weekly production schedules and you will be expected to work to engineering standards and engineering principles.

You will ideally be able to MIG Weld but there will also be work for people with TIG experience. You must be able to weld to automotive quality standard (2-3mm) and you must have experience of working within a manufacturing environment.

Welding and Fabrication qualifications would be desirable, however if you can demonstrate experience within the workplace this would be acceptable.

The hours of work are on a 2 shift system of 6.00am - 2.00pm Monday to Friday and 2.00pm - 11.30pm Monday to Thursday and there may be some overtime available at weekends.

You will be required to have a weld test at the interview stage for this role.
