Role Overview

We are on the lookout for a permanent dynamic Quality Systems Engineer to join our client's team. Your role would be to support the Quality Manager / Quality Engineers in the development and control of the business management systems, standards, and customer specific requirements. Working 40-hour week, Monday to Thursday 7:30 to 4:15, Friday 7:30 to 3:00.

As a Quality Systems Engineer your role will consist of:

• Implement and maintain up-to-date quality management systems
• To maintain and ensure certification to IATF16949 China Compulsory Certification, and any customer specific requirements known and understood within the business.
• To report and track internal and external audit findings to completion within agreed timescales through
• Support the Quality Manager in providing data for the Management Review.
• Assist with general problem solving
• Support the Quality Manager by leading all external Quality certification audits.
• Management, upkeep, and maintenance of the internal document control system.
• Support the Quality Manager by leading all internal / Customer Quality audits.
• Maintain Customer specific requirements for the plant and ensure they are captured within the Business Management System.
• Laise with management to help drive improvements across the site and present
• Provide performance analysis and metrics as required by the business.
• Team member on 8D investigations (where applicable).
• Has knowledge of procedures regarding health and safety at work, incident reporting, EHS screening, actions taken by EHS coordinators and EHS committees.
• Manage the China Compulsory Certification requirements for the business.
• Generate Layered Process Audit (MPA, LPA) analysis data and report out to the business.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Essential

• HND / Degree or equivalent in a relevant field
• Proven experience working within a Quality / System based role.
• Experience of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards, including internal audit experience.
• Analytical approach / attention to detail.
• Experienced conducting internal & External audits
• Computer literate with Microsoft packages.

Desirable

• Business Improvement Degree / Masters
• VDA 6.3 experience
• Experience within automotive is preferable

The role involves reporting to the Category Manager or Business Partner and supporting category strategy development, execution, and sourcing activities within agreed categories of supply. Responsibilities include gathering spend, volume, and service needs data in preparation for eRFx/eAuctions, maintaining regular contact with key stakeholders and Procurement Business Partners to promote category strategy, understanding business needs, and driving compliance. Additionally, the role involves supporting Accounts Payable with payable issues when escalated to the central procurement team, facilitating remedial discussions between AP, Business Unit Operations, and Key Suppliers, updating and maintaining SMF Scorecards, and tracking Supplier Corrective Actions. The role supports risk management by tracking supplier performance, financial stability, and compliance to Alcumus, proactively identifying and delivering cost savings, cost reductions, and volume-based discount opportunities in accordance with group supply chain and procurement targets. It also supports ethical and sustainable sourcing initiatives, modern slavery VCSE and ESG requirements, managing and maintaining feedback on progress from the supply base, managing and reporting on category and sourcing KPIs, ensuring performance and practices are in line with all Supply Chain Policies, Procedures, and Systems, and working in partnership with the wider Procurement department members.

The expected outcomes include achieving the best value for money on category spend, meeting annualized and in-year benefits, savings targets, and continuous improvement opportunities. The role requires demonstrating the application of a full category management approach delivering quantifiable value to the bottom line, interfacing with internal stakeholders to understand and influence business needs and demand, and working in partnership with stakeholders to ensure optimal supply chain performance. Schools will ring us any time from 7am-8:30am letting us know their requirements for that day. That is when we would call you, our emergency cover supply teacher / cover supervisor and offer you the work we have for that day.

You will be covering lessons for the absent member of staff. Lessons will already be pre-planned and prepared. The lessons could be in one subject area, or in different subjects throughout the day.

As a Multi Skill Trades Operative:

About the Role

Acorns Children's Hospice are a children's charity, offering specialist palliative nursing care and support for local children and their families. Every year, we support over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families, including those who are bereaved. We have a network of charity shops across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire, which help to provide the funding that we need to provide this care.

As Deputy Community Shop Manager, you will:

Support the Shop Manager to create an exciting shop floor experience that makes Acorns stand out from our competitors
Make decisions about the quality of stock, levels of pricing and style of merchandising
Lead a team of volunteers
Achieve sales targets by encouraging donations, purchases and gift aid
