As a PERSONNEL SECURITY SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Reviewing, approving and signing all divisional Statement of Reasons, intended to deny or revoke an individual's security clearance eligibility.
• Reviewing responses to Statements of Reasons and rendering adjudicative determinations on an individual's security clearance eligibility.
• Approving requests for additional investigation and responds to unusual and/or complex issues raised by commanding officers, special security officers, security managers and/or individuals affected by the agency actions.
• Reviewing complex adjudicative decisions made by a large number of certified developmental and senior specialists whose sole purpose is to make security clearance eligibility and suitability and fitness determinations.
• Ensuring sound interpretation and application of personnel security program policy and procedures
• Responsible for favorable determinations of non-sensitive adjudications by established policy and law.

• You will coordinate with the Department Head in the planning for, defending, allocating, and executing the department’s annual budget, to include contract and organization level programs.

• Serves as the Head of Contracting Activity (HCA). Plans, organizes, and directs the Command's Contracting Activity, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and that customer needs are met.
• Provides direction for the Command's most urgent/ complex contacting actions, provides oversight and direction for all phases of acquisition planning, contract negotiation and award, and contract administration.
• Leads the evaluation of bidder responses to requests for information or proposals.
• Leads assessments of contracting actions to ensure the team meets standards and expectations for quality contracting support, and that available assets are used efficiently and effectively.
• Leads continuing and comprehensive assessment of the policies, processes, and tools the team uses to pursue objectives to refine them so they better address cyber operations-specific needs.

• Responsible for procurement, storage, and accounting of all supplies and equipment within established guidelines
• Assists in directing and coordinating textile testing activities for the Midshipmen Store, the Midshipmen Food Services Division, Public Works Department and Uniform Officer pertaining to color, fastness, dry cleaning, durability of garments, etc. No new uniforms are adopted until incumbent completes these tests
• Responsible for economical, efficient and timely door to door pickup and delivery service of all laundry and dry cleaning to the Brigade of Midshipmen and organizational customers
• Responsible for timely and accurate receipt, accountability, storage and issue of all other uniform garments and other clothing items worn by the Brigade of Midshipmen throughout year. These items must be completely processed through the cleaning system prior to storage. This poses an additional challenge for incumbent because this workload must be funneled through the plant along with all other normal daily throughput
• Assists in other functions of the NABSD Program as assigned
• Walking up and down stairs, observing, working with hands and conducting onsite inspections is required.
• The incumbent spends an equal amount of time in office setting and on the shop floor in a plant environment. In the plant environment, the temperatures and noise levels are high and vary considerably.

The duties and responsibilities of the CY Program Assistant have been grouped into categories, including curriculum, indoor and outdoor environment, interactions and relationships, supervision of children and youth, parent and employee communication, assessment, compliance, and additional responsibilities. Each is described below.

Curriculum

Develops schedules and activity plans. This may include reviewing and providing input into schedules and activity plans developed by the entry level and intermediate level Educational Aids (CY Program Assistants), CY-1702-I. Ensures that program plans and activities incorporate the observed needs of individual children and youth.

Implements activities and special events that meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of children and youth. Incorporates special instructions provided by parents such as special dietary needs, physical needs, or other information that may affect the child or youth's experience in the program.

Prepares and implements program options for children and youth with special requirements. Cares for children and youth with special needs as directed by the supervisor.

Demonstrates, instructs, leads, and facilitates planned and spontaneous program activities.

Role models developmentally appropriate practice and classroom or activity area management techniques.

Promotes and models safety, fitness, health, and nutrition practices.

Helps arrange for and/or serve appropriate snacks or meals where applicable.

Indoor and Outdoor Environment

Helps prepare, arrange and maintain indoor and outdoor activity areas and materials to accommodate daily schedules.

Sets up displays and bulletin boards.

Inventories equipment on a recurring basis and recommends replenishing damaged, missing, and depleted supplies.

Secures supplies, equipment, and facilities.

Interactions and Relationships

Establishes a program environment that sustains participant interest and promotes positive interactions with other children, youth and adults.

Interacts with children and youth using approved child guidance and youth development techniques.

Supervision of Children and Youth

Provides care and supervision, oversight, and accountability for program participants in compliance with the Department of Defense (DoD), NAF Component, and local installation policies, guidance, and standards.

Maintains control of and accounts for whereabouts and safety of children and youth.

Supervises children and youth during daily schedule of indoor and outdoor activities and on field trips, outings, and special events.

Ensures children and youth (as applicable) depart with authorized person according to written parental instructions.

Observes program participants for signs that may indicate illness, abuse, or neglect and reports as directed. Incumbent is a mandatory reporter to Family Advocacy and Child Protective Services as prescribed by local policy in the case of suspected incidences of child abuse and neglect.

Parent and Employee Communication

Interacts professionally with employees, parents, and local installation command personnel.

Provides parents with daily verbal or written feedback about their child/youth or program activities.

Participates in conferences with parents and employees.

Assessment

Observes children and youth and documents developmental progression and/or concerns. Uses the information in planning.

Participates in program evaluation using designated instruments such as programmatic rating scales, risk assessment tools (as required), self-inspection materials, and national accreditation tools.

Compliance

Assists in achieving and maintaining DoD certification and national accreditation or equivalent.

Ensures compliance with law, policies, and regulations applicable to DoD CY programs Notifies supervisor of health, fire, and safety compliance concerns.

Additional Responsibilities

Collects, maintains, and reports program participation data.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Incumbent will be required to perform one or all of the following tasks as assigned by the Laundry Worker Supervisor.

Check-In:

• Match incoming laundry to laundry tickets, count and sort items and distribute for cleaning based on soil/garment classification.
• Assign tags to items to maintain lot integrity as items travel through the facility.
• Bag and turn in to the department supervisor all valuables recovered during check-in process.

• Shake out and sort clean flatwork (bed and table linens) into bins by color and type to facilitate feeding into flatwork ironer equipment.
• Work individually or in teams, depending on piece size, feed flatwork into the flatwork ironer and/or receive pressed, folded and stacked items from the cross-folder equipment.
• The Laundry Worker may be required to bundle and wrap items, then place in carts for distributing.

• Separate towels, blankets, spreads, and other rough-dried items (fully dried hand fold work) by type and fold in accordance with standard procedures. Separate nets, laundry, bags and loosely processed uniform items into lots, fold, cart-up or stack as necessary.
• Operate towel folding machine by feeding towels into folder and stacking completed towels into laundry transport carts.
• Keep all work together by lot and customer.
• Forward completed work to next appropriate work station.

• Separate goods according to lot and type. Distribute to appropriate equipment for processing.
• Press or tunnel finished work as assigned, performing any or a combination of the following tasks, operate collar and cuff press, yoke press, bosom and body press, double buck shirt press, sleeve press, laundry press, or steam finishing tunnel.
• Hang up finished work, maintaining lot integrity and check appearance for obvious defects, laying such items aside for reprocessing as necessary.

• In the locker area, remove laundry nets from carts by lots and match to tickets in assembly lockers.
• Place all work in locker in appropriate laundry bag, matching all items to ticket for sign off.
• Tie completed bag and place on conveyor to be staged in a cart for delivery.
• Hanger Assembly Work:
• Hang tickets on hooks by lot. Retrieve and assemble all items identified on ticket.
• When all pieces are accounted for, place in hanging bag and tie hangers together. Place on mobile racks for forgotten items, and staple laundry tags to items for identification after cleaning.

• Handle cash transactions; pick up the change fund which is reconciled and dropped daily.
• Collect uniforms from customers for cleaning. Prepare tickets.
• Verify item count and type to tickets corresponding to the customer orders. Check pockets for forgotten items, and staple laundry tags to items for identification after cleaning.
• Enter ticket information on the spreadsheet for tracking and recording purposes.
• Organize clean orders on a conveyor for issue.
• Issue linen exchange items, prepackaged linens for guests and medical isolation purposes.

• Provides overall direction and guidance for the development and implementation of a comprehensive product support strategy for the materiel system throughout the system life cycle.
• Develops the product support strategy and life cycle sustainment plan (LCSP) for assigned projects in accordance with Army acquisition policies and procedures.
• Conducts appropriate cost analyses to validate the product support strategy, including cost-benefit analyses as outlined in Office of Management and Budget Circular A-94.
• Establishes priorities for the product support management, design interface, sustaining engineering, supply support, technical data, training and training support, and funding resources necessary to accomplish the product support mission.
• Reviews project operations on a continuous basis through application of administrative controls, review of completed work, and results obtained to assure maximum efficiency, economy, and effectiveness of the operations.
• Oversees cost estimating, planning, programming, budgeting, program integration, interoperability, product support integrators and product support providers, and oversight of the product support function.

• Serves as a Child and Youth Services (CYS) Assistant Director of a CYS Program with responsibility for assisting the supervisor in the operation of an assigned CYS program IAW all applicable regulations and standards.
• Provides program oversight and accountability for the performance of assigned staff and the safety and well being of children and youth IAW DoD, Army and local policies and standards.
• Assists in maintaining DoD/Army certification for assigned program areas, and helps ensure program achieves and retains national accreditation or Army equivalent and maintains accreditation/Army equivalent standards.
• Provides appropriate staff professional recognition and/or disciplinary action. Conducts written observations of staff during all hours of operation, and evaluates employees based on established performance standards.
