We are looking for a Logistics Manager to provide leadership to the warehouse operations. You will balance the inbound and outbound delivery of goods with cost objectives, drive collaborative supply chain improvements, and support internal and external customer service by managing and nurturing the warehouse teams. You will collaborate with various departments to plan logistics activities, ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) are met as per the service level agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities:
Acting as a key business partner for all topics related to Operations, including but not limited to logistics, order processing, supply chain efficiency, risk management and overall site security.
1. Logistics / Operations:
a) Stock management: Establish strategies and objectives to ensure effective inventory management through regular cycle count and stock take. Working closely with various departments to plan logistics activities in ensuring KPI targets as per SLAs are met. Provide qualitative and quantitative feedback of any deviation to policies which include the reporting, checking, and highlighting of stock which are damaged, returns, discontinuity, old stock batches as well as items that are over-stocked and in deviation to shipment.
b) Inventory Forecasting and Allocation: Manage and monitor inventory forecasting by working closely with divisional teams; Participate in monthly forecasting activity for FBP orders; Review Fashion boutique ordering processes to improve efficiency and ensure that the right stocks are delivered at the right time effectively.
c) Management of Shipment: Manage & monitor in-coming from Global and out-going shipment for local and exports, to provide warning of delays and overstock, Establish operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, supervise freight forwarder on import & export activities (ensure prompt delivery)/ customs issues/ product registration, in charge of claim issues if shipment have any discrepancies
d) Stock deliveries: Ensure efficient management and control of stock deliveries. Ensure all stocks are checked, packed and verified in accordance to documentation given, plan, organize and coordinate deliveries to ensure maximization of trips and delivery requirements. Manage 3PL delivery contracts and suppliers.
e) Standard Operations Policies & Compliance: Write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), ensure guidelines are followed and implemented
2. Responsible for leading a team in the management of warehouse operations to achieve the operations key performance index and the required service standards:
a) Plan resource staffing and review frequently if any adjustment is needed.
b) Ensure efficient performance of duties by warehouse personnel and maintain good working relationship with all business divisions
c) Ensure that warehouse personnel are informed of changes to company policies, work procedures and activities etc
d) Liaise closely with HR Manager for any issues pertaining staff welfare, discipline, performance etc
e) Support as well as foster good working relationships with other departments and ensure receptiveness to their specific needs.
f) Provide training & development and conduct performance discussions with staff
3. Others :
a) Management of carnet, press rack and Return Goods Authorization (RGA) for repair items
b) In charge of consignments and High Jewelry (HJ) pieces in relation to HJ exhibitions.
c) Continuously keep abreast of and advise management regarding changes or latest trends in warehouse management practices
d) Any other related ad-hoc projects: e.g. any global or regional supply chain project, staff sales support, etc
Academic / Professional Qualifications
- Qualifications in Warehousing/ Supply Chain/Risk Management are needed
Work Experience
- At least 10 years experience in logistics/ warehousing functions with a minimum of 5 years in supervisory/ management capacity
- Experience in managing custom clearances and a working knowledge of shipping documentation is a must.
- Luxury experience preferred
- Experience in distribution Center relocation is preferred
