The Communications Manager will work collaboratively across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough supporting the relevant business partner to ensure delivery of a broad range of strategic objectives and outcomes.

Pay rate - £21.64 per hour / £26.95 ltd (umbrella)

Main Responsibilities

As a Communications Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Manage the provision of proactive and reactive responses to all aspects of media -including social media - in a timely way ensuring that the Council's reputation and integrity is maintained
• Support the Communications Business Partner to deliver appropriate communications, web and marketing strategies and annual action plans in a key area of the council's business in accordance with our statutory responsibilities aimed at improving and enhancing the reputation of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
• Use customer and employee insight to drive innovation and to ensure that all appropriate channels are used to reach and engage with different target audiences.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators for the departmental and specific campaigns where you have primary responsibility, and providing reports on effectiveness and ROI to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential qualifications and experience:

You will be leading on communications and engagement projects related to the use of health data in research, with particular responsibility for delivery of communications aspects of the East of England Secure Data Environment project.

This role can either be office based (Barton House) or combined office/home based.

Produce content related to the EoE SDE and contribute to content on a variety of health-data and/or research related projects through R&D.

Identify and develop links with other health data research projects taking place on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.

This exciting new role of Internal Communications Specialist will design and deliver dynamic and compelling communications using digital and traditional communication channels which inform, engage and connect our employees.

Working for our Head of Internal Communications, responsibilities will include:

• Working closely with the Marketing team to align plans and messages whilst building employee advocacy for Marshall
• Creating and maintaining the plans for delivery of communications, engagement activities and events
• Maintaining and updating our internal Intranet 'Beam' with newsletters, publications, events and videos, liaising with department stakeholders to ensure information us up to date and relevant
• Establishing strong working relationships with the stakeholders across various business units, proactively seeking their input and ensuring that communication and engagement efforts align with their strategic goals
• Supporting with employee listening groups, utilising feedback to make continuous improvements
• Working with various stakeholders across the business (including HR, Facilities, IT) to ensure departmental messages are curated in an easy and digestible way
• Playing an active role in the design and planning of large business events
• Managing the Internal Communications inbox and responding to ad hoc requests from all business units

  Communicate and share relevant information with internal and external stakeholders as directed by colleagues, to promote collaborative working and to keep stakeholders up-to-date with activities

  Pro-active diary Management for Heads of Function

  Provide support to colleagues within and outside the team as and when opportunities arise, to promote collaborative working and sharing of information

  Respond to practical queries using initiative and judgement to provide a customer orientated service to internal and external stakeholders
