Person Specification

The successful applicant must have:

• GCSEs in certain subjects are preferred, such as Maths, English, or Health and Social care
• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Mental Health Nurse.
• Previous experience in community setting
• Fully enhanced DBS
• Car driver and valid UK license is preferred

At Cavendish Nuclear we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as Area Health and Safety Lead at our Hinkley Point C site.

This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's vast network of rooms.

The role

As Area Health and Safety Lead you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance.

Day-to-day, you'll:

• Act as the first point of contact for the H&S Advisors
• Escalate issues that cannot be resolved or requires further support to the H&S / Discipline Leads.
• Oversee the HSE advisors K.P. I's and Support HSE Area Lead within accident/investigations..
• Conduct audits of MEH site activities and sub-contractor operations as well as facilitating meetings
• Record the findings of audit reports and inspections in line with the HSSE Management system requirements.
• Build relationships with other Tier 1's and the Principal Contractor
• Monitor the working practices of MEH employees and contractors regarding health and safety, environment and welfare.

This role is full time and is based onsite at Hinkley Point C

Essential experience of the Health and Safety Lead

• Significant, relevant construction experience
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills to explain HSE procedures and expectations to a range of people.
• Working knowledge of the Health and Safety regulations.
• IT literate - familiar with Microsoft packages

Qualifications for the Health and Safety Lead

• NEBOSH general certificate / NEBOSH construction certificate or equivalent.
• Health and Safety Diploma or working towards.

I am looking for a Health & Safety Advisor, who has experience on a live construction site operating as the Health & Safety Advisor.

As the Safety, Health & Environment Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, delivery, and review of a variety of projects across Somerset.

Key tasks:

• Assist with the development, auditing and improvements

We are looking to recruit a Mental Health Practitioner to come and work with our Mental Health Service in the Student Support and Safeguarding team.

Working in partnership with other teams and colleagues within the department (particularly our Therapeutic and Wellbeing Services) you’ll be contributing to a developing departmental vision of supporting students to enable students to thrive, as individuals, throughout their journey to, through and beyond the University of Bath.

You will be an experienced and creative registered Mental Health Professional who can provide structured interventions and support planning for the students who need Mental Health Support during their time at University. We are looking to recruit someone who can:

Further information

This is a full-time role, working 36.5 hours per week, however, all Mental Health Practitioners will contribute to a collaborative Duty Service, including providing on-campus weekend cover to manage incoming/urgent situations, and help shape future development of our offer in this area.
