• Conduct assessments and monitors individuals and groups with the goal of improving foundational health, recovery, and rehabilitation to return to duty.
• Develop, compound, and present comprehensive physical fitness and nutritional research to incorporate best practices in nutrition programs and resource management based on Commander's expectations.
• Collaborate and communicate with the Command and unit leaders to pinpoint the health needs of the organization in order to service programs focusing on the Commander's priorities.
• Participate on an interdisciplinary team to coordinate the rehabilitation or wellness activities for individual Soldiers or groups of Soldiers with the brigade.

• Support the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) program and employee is a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Provide full range of professional injury screening and prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to maximize Soldier performance and improve unit readiness.
• Participate in injury control research, analysis and reporting to support H2F program.
• Synthesize rehabilitation or injury surveillance data gathered from H2F activities and creates reports on the effectiveness of H2F program.

Maintains Recreation facilities, grounds, and equipment in a clean, safe, operational, and pleasing manner. Observes operating instructions available for the Fitness Center program to include departmental policies, regulations, and operating standards, command level regulations, and procedures, and local policies set by Flight Chief, Squadron Commander, and/or Support Group Commander. Assumes custody of change fund. Opens center for business. Collects and accounts for fees and sales. Prepares Cashier Reports and other required records and reports. Oversees activities in progress and renders assistance as needed. Closes area at the end of the day. Places equipment in proper storage areas. Reconciles cash with record accountability. Assists at the front counter helping customers with the variety of equipment, programs and facilities we offer. Helps other staff members with projects and customers so that the Fitness Center runs smoothly. Communicates with other staff members so that procedures are uniform. Assists in conducting inventories. Position is a position of trust. Subject to perform additional duties given by management.

What to Expect

• Performs analyses and develops reports on biomedical, scientific, and health policy issues.
• Performs quantitative and qualitative data analysis as well as literature reviews and prepares reports for presentation to leadership, professional and scientific organizations, and journals.
• Maintains awareness of scientific advances and legislative developments regarding the national health status and issues having implications for current and planned health research and research training programs.
• Prepares background materials for senior staff that capture the current state of knowledge in scientific and policy-areas, and provides staff support for special science policy, research program planning, or evaluation.
