• Strong understanding of leasehold management regulations, with a proactive approach to customer service and dispute resolution.

Job Description
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Top 50 Chartered Accountancy in London for a Private Client Tax Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a mixed compliance/advisory role which will involve a high percentage of non- UK domicile cases. Running a portfolio of compliance cases along-side supporting seven private client partners with advisory work. There will also be staff management and development involved.

Main Responsibilities

• Responsibility for a mixed portfolio of personal tax clients, including specifically non-doms, HNWIs, sole-traders, partnerships, and offshore trusts.
• Assisting partners on the delivery of advisory work which will include the preparation of reports on matters such as IHT planning (including UK trusts), residence, pre-arrival planning, offshore structures (involving offshore trusts and companies) and planning work in anticipation of the new rules for non-doms from 6 April 2025.
• Preparation and attendance at both existing and potential new client meetings, setting budgets for the follow up work, and ensuring the work is carried out in a timely manner and within budget.
• Liaising with clients on routine and ad-hoc assignments including correspondence by email, telephone and face to face meetings. Matters to include inheritance tax, income tax and capital gains tax.
• Correspondence with HMRC in relation to s9A enquiries and preparing disclosures under the digital disclosure facility.
• Overseeing the collation of all the information needed to prepare the tax return involving liaising with other third-party professionals and the clients themselves.
• Dealing with all aspects of income tax (including National Insurance) and capital gains tax including reviewing PAYE coding notices where appropriate.
• Reviewing tax returns prepared by other members of staff for approval by the client and for then electronically filing them.
• Promptly dealing with routine post received in connection with those clients.
• Prioritising and organising own work to ensure consistently high standard of client care and to meet HMRC deadlines - working without supervision and to show initiative in dealing with clients' affairs.
• Billing clients on a quarterly basis, including making reserves and keeping partners up to date with any billing concerns.

• Minim of 5 years Private Client Tax experience

Our Public Sector Client based in North West London is looking for a Senior Service Charge Officer on an ongoing temporary basis.
Role Purpose:

• Ensure accurate calculation of annual estimated service charges for leaseholders and tenants.
• Timely production of demand notices and annual reconciliation of final statements in accordance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, manage, and motivate the team, including performance reviews and identifying training needs.
• Agree on an annual service improvement plan and set objectives and performance targets.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver consistent service and maximise service charge income collection.
• Support the preparation of service charge accounts and provide commentary on major variances.
• Ensure all transactions are reviewed and journals actioned appropriately.
• Support the annual service charge budget setting process.
• Act on audit recommendations and build constructive relationships with auditors.
• Provide regular performance reports to internal and external clients.
• Stay updated on legislative changes and best practices, providing written reports on their impact.

Standard Responsibilities:

• Comply with the organisation's values, policies, and regulatory frameworks, including Code of Conduct, Health & Safety, Data Protection, and Equality and Diversity.

Person Specification:

• Qualified by experience or part-qualified accountant with a clear understanding of accounting.
• Knowledge of legislative background and best practices in service charges.
• Strong communication skills and experience with financial accounting systems (e.g., SUN, Vision, Northgate).
• Experience of managing staff and dealing with auditors.
• Advanced IT skills, including Excel and Word.

The Children's Home Manager will lead and support a professional team of staff committed to transforming young lives and creating positive outcomes. You will be supported by Deputy Managers, Team Leaders as well as the rest of the team.

Pay rate - £50,000 per annum - Negotiable for the right candidate

Main Responsibilities

As a Children's Home Manager, you will be responsible for:

• We have a passionate commitment to our young people, placing them at the centre of everything we do and as the Home Manager; you will be a key player in building and extending this commitment.

• You will lead and support a team: Deputy Managers, Team Leaders and Residential Workers and all committed to transforming lives and creating positive outcomes.

• In addition we have an in house team of Therapists providing support to staff and young people within the home.

Requirements:

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and, be either working towards or has achieved the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
• Prior experience in residential children's homes, including at least a year with staff supervision and management responsibility.
• This role will involve some shift work plus some on call duties in the evening and at weekends. Applicants will be subject to enhanced DBS (police) checks.
