Working as part of a specialist team, as a Supervisor, your role will be involved in the man management of a team of technicians and agency staff who are responsible for the restoration of commercial properties following flooding or fires, where the are stripping our those properties of their damaged fixtures and fittings and drying out / cleaning up of the properties. ensuring team compliance, provide support to Project Managers, assist your teams with technical difficulties, CDM, effective control of sub contract budget and costs, coordination of suppliers and deliveries to site, ensure staff productivity, regular report writing, team performance management, keeping accurate records, conducting appraisals, working to KPI’s, quality & Health& Safety audits, and other related duties.

To be considered for the role Property Restoration Supervisor, you will have previous experience in a similar damage restoration position along with construction site supervision, will ideally hold a PASMA and IPAF certificate, have manual dexterity, good level of electrical and mechanical knowledge, pc literate and a good level of general education.

You will have excellent communication skills along with empathy and customer service skills. You must be able to work away from home on a regular basis during very busy times where accommodation will be paid and you will receive a £25.00 dinner allowance per night.

The organisation is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their fantastic Finance division. This is a new role within the organisation and will be working alongside the wider financial reporting team and Property leadership team to review and challenge financial and performance information within the Property business area.

As the Finance Business Partner, you will also influence operational and strategic decision making and provide analysis of financial and non-financial data to provide greater insight on value for money and efficiencies, as well as enhancing commercial awareness and performance.


DUTIES

Your duties as a Finance Business Partner will include:

• Partner with the Property leadership, including senior managers, to ensure the financial information provided is relevant and enables the business to make informed strategic decisions and to deliver the performance targets across the multiple business areas within the Property Development, Regeneration and Disposals areas, including the development joint venture operations

• Use financial information to inform business decisions and financial analysis of development, regeneration schemes and asset disposal seeking EMT / Board approval, including robust analysis of proposed scheme appraisals prepared by the Property team, reviewing options appraisals, and providing appropriate narrative to be included in EMT / Board reports and outturn reviews

• Financial review of Joint Venture partnerships including financial evaluation of proposed business plans when considering such investments, and ongoing understanding of financial impact of forecast outturn vs. approved business plan. Preparing reports to EMT / Committee / Board explaining financial implications of JV performance, and when required, seeking approval for officers to execute ad hoc finance related actions within jointly controlled investments

• Evaluate financial models supporting Board decisions, and recommend improvements

• Promote and embed a value for money culture across the business by systematically benchmarking across the best in class within and outside sector

• Play the role of independent, critical friend to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting of performance, ensuring consistent and justifiable assumptions as a result of strong business partnering relationships and supportive challenge

• Ensure risks and opportunities to performance and budget/latest forecast are well understood and raised in a timely manner with identification of interventions and risks are accompanied by robust recommendations to get back to target

• Working with the business to maintain active involvement in the financial and operational performance to draw out insights and intelligence to inform strategic decisions relating to value for money

• Support the longer-term financial planning processes to ensure robust assumptions and data are factored into the business planning processes and the development of the strategy for Property Development, Regeneration and Disposals areas


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Math’s and English (Grades A*- C)

• Fully qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or educated to degree level

• Previous significant experience in a senior role for a housing association, property management or real estate related company

• Demonstrable finance experience within a multi-company environment carrying out extensive business partnering with senior management

• Comfortable analysing and assessing data to draw insights, assess performance and identity required interventions

• Understands how Finance strategies and interventions support overall Business Strategies and Goals and able to drive effective financial performance through brokering the services of the wider Finance team where necessary

• Significant experience of service delivery to non-finance personnel at a senior level
