As a Controls Accountant you will be responsible for building, improving and maintaining a robust controls environment to improve the reliability of the financial reporting for our Finance Portfolio. This is a great opportunity for a part or fully qualified accountant to gain experience in a forward-thinking organisation

What you could be doing

• You will complete all relevant balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner, providing summarised information for management.

About the Role

At VWFS we are seeking a new Fleet and Customer Operations Executive to join our Fleet Mobility team. You will be the main point of contact for our Rent-a-Car corporate customers & locations and provide on-going support to all key stakeholders throughout the car rental lifecycle.

On a daily based you complete several key operational tasks which relates to our customers, rental portal, fleet management, insurance, and invoicing. • Generate and analyse a selection of reports to regularly to meet required deadlines to allow MI reporting to take place to drive profitability
• Processing of all logistics movements for customers & rental locations through successful communication with 3rd party suppliers ensuring SLA's are adhered to
• Approve and regularly review repair authorisations using own fleet technical knowledge ensuring costs and downtime are kept to a minimum within budgets
• Management of all vehicle downtime, liaising with 3rd party suppliers, dealers and customers to ensure vehicle downtime is minimal resulting in higher vehicle utilisation and optimisation
• Effective management of both the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and the Rental Managers Portal (RMP) to ensure consistency and accuracy of data records
• Proactively identify and plan vehicle selection for new customers and locations with the Assistant Fleet Manager in line with customer and location requirements
• Generate and manage invoices to Locations & customers from the Rental system such as rental charges, excess mileage charges, write offs, fines, insurance excess, vehicle damage to ensure correct generation of income for the Mobility team, manage Motor Insurance Database exceptions by liaising with customers and Insurance Manager to ensure vehicles are insured, meet legislative requirements and therefore reduce risk

The role of the Purchasing Advisor is to order and deliver new vehicles whilst building customer and supplier relationships. Responsibilities:

• Communication with VWFS|FLEET Customers and Vehicle Suppliers to identify vehicle requirements

The Product Integration Manager is responsible for efficiently implementing new products, services and digital assets within VWFS internal areas, VWGroup Brands, Retailer Networks and 3rd parties.

As a Product Integration Manager within VWFS you would be responsible for the liaison between the department and its internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all products, services and digital assets are seamlessly integrated into existing VWFS systems and processes. As an IT Supplier Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for managing IT suppliers, covering contractual, commercial & compliance activities, across the full spectrum of the supplier lifecycle. About the role:

As a Credit Assessment Advisor you must have a thorough understanding of all the financial products and services offered by VWFS (UK) LTD and how these products apply to different customer types, combined with strong analytical skills and an understanding of financial accounts.

Responsibilities will include:

• Underwrite finance proposals adhering to the current VWFS policy and procedural guidelines in a professional and timely manner.
• Produce, analyse and distribute, operational reporting and Management Information on the performance of the department to measure delivery against agreed SLA's.
• Develop and maintain key relationships with retailer/dealer groups and internal stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and support key initiatives and projects championed by the team
• Provide clear and concise guidance on a defined range of processes and be recognised by others as a point of contact for advice, & process improvement. Receiving and resolving retailer queries or escalations as appropriate
• Assist with training of existing and new members of the Underwriting team and help the Underwriting Team Leader with on-going coaching where appropriate.
• Act as a subject matter expert for their peers and ensure their knowledge of current regulation, policies and procedures is accurate and up to date at all times.
• Assist with auditing of Underwriting decisions and or telephone activity or any additional Quality Assurance activity as directed by the Underwriting Team Leader.

At VWFS UK we are on an exciting journey, and we are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our Controlling and Planning team. Our business is evolving, and the Finance Business Partner is at the heart of it by business partnering with our Commercial teams to develop the appropriate tools to help users promote a sustainable and controlled profitability process.

Reporting to the Controlling Business Partner, a key responsibility is to support the technical implementation of sales and margin planning and pricing across multiple VWFS products and Brands.

The ideal candidate will be commercially aware, experienced with working with senior stakeholders and number focused.

What you will be responsible for:

• Negotiate and influence senior stakeholders to aid, propose and produce accurate forecasting data and associated rationale, used to model and implement plan of sales, mix and margin across all VWFS products (including Planning Rounds, Budgets and monthly reforecasts).
• Responsible for development and maintenance of Price modelling infrastructure for RTE, Campaign, Wholesale and Bank products including training, rollout and monitoring of outputs whilst ensuring impact on Budget is understood.
• Development, production and management of joint HQ, VWG & VWFS growth plans, including volume forecasts, cost benefit analysis and associated investments. This ensures VWFS investments are deployed effectively.
• Quarterly volume and margin reviews for Retailer package, Campaign, Wholesale & Bank processes, including development, production, financial insight and presentation of findings. This ensures accuracy of pricing and its implementation along with the insight to influence future pricing decisions
• Develop and implement regular monitoring mechanisms to provide insight to determine and coordinate the resultant actions to ensure implementation, control and alignment of the planning and pricing strategy.
• Maintain a good understanding of local and international policy, ensuring adherence and implementation of best-practise planning and pricing governance
• Responsible for ensuring integrity of financial reporting data whilst providing financial and technical insight and expertise, including financial modelling throughout the business to influence senior stakeholder's decisions.
• Manage the interface with the business to deliver transparent and effective cross-business pricing oversight. This includes a regime of operational interaction with Controlling, Risk and Finance as well as operational management of Pricing Committee requirements
• Responsible for responding to and co-ordinating headquarter and local FS/VWG queries.
• Provide specialist support, as required to other business areas
• Assisting with other Planning or Pricing related activities as required by the Controlling Business Partner including other existing Commercial products or emerging lines

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of:

• A proactive approach with the ability to react appropriately and effectively to changing circumstances and demands
• The ability to communicate complex issues with integrity at all levels up to, and including, Board level
• Excellent numeric and problem solving skills with appropriate degree or financial qualification.
• Proven ability to provide accurate data in a fast paced environment
• An appreciation of stakeholder requirements in particular Brands and Retailers
• Proven experience and ability to negotiate and influence decision making
• Strong analytical skills including advanced Excel skills are essential
• Process orientated and methodical approach to managing simultaneous work streams
• Ability to and experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proactive and engaging mind, having a record of analysing complex and unrelated issues, and making appropriate and successful recommendations in response
